Water system taking over 6 weeks to receive all parts

My husband and I purchased the ELITE SMART HE Water System on June 17th. This has been the biggest hassle I’ve ever experienced. The system arrived a week and a half after ordering, but when we got our plumber out here, we were missing parts. When we called, which you speak to AI, we called and left a message. Someone finally called us back and said it appeared we were missing a whole box. So they said they were sending it out. That took 10ish days to arrive. We had the plumber come out again, and the same piece that should have been in the new box was missing AGAIN. We called again 10 days ago from today, and a woman said she’d be sending it out and expediting it. It’s now 10 days from that and we called them again today, and they’re saying it must have gotten lost in the mail. How does it take 6 weeks to get our full system for installation? How has this been messed up MULTIPLE times and we keep paying a plumber to come out to do nothing? I’m extremely frustrated and out extra money because we’ve been paying a plumber his fee to come out even though it’s not our fault we end up missing pieces. This is absolutely insane, and I will never buy from this company again.

Investing in a system

Investing in a system with superior construction and an extensive warranty is always the smarter long-term choice. Compared to options like the Whirlpool WHES40, the SoftPro Elite HE delivers the heavy-duty build quality and long-term protection that easily justify the upfront cost through better reliability and peace of mind.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-07-06

Freda, "peace of mind" is the purchase outcome that never appears on a spec sheet — and it's the one that matters most at 11pm when something sounds different in the utility room. Peace of mind in a water treatment system has a specific anatomy. It's knowing the tank is covered for life, so a hairline crack in year nine isn't a replacement conversation. It's knowing the construction was engineered for longevity rather than a retail price point, so the components performing on day one are the same components performing on day one thousand. It's knowing the warranty isn't a marketing gesture with fine print designed to limit exposure — it's a genuine commitment from a manufacturer that built the system to honor it. The Whirlpool WHES40 exists at a price point that required decisions — about materials, about tolerances, about warranty terms — that a big-box margin structure dictated. Those decisions compound quietly over years of operation in ways that don't show up until they do. Heavy-duty build quality doesn't deliver peace of mind as a feature. It delivers it as a consequence — the natural result of engineering that was never asked to compromise. "Smarter long-term choice" is what that consequence looks like in hindsight. Thank you for framing it so clearly, Freda. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

The SoftPro Catalytic

The SoftPro Catalytic Whole House Carbon Filter finally removed that pool-water smell that Aquasana couldn’t handle.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-29

Jenner, the pool-water smell has a specific name — and it explains exactly why Aquasana couldn't crack it. That smell is almost always chloramine, not free chlorine. Municipalities have been quietly switching to chloramine as a disinfectant because it's more stable in long distribution lines. The problem is that chloramine is a fundamentally tougher molecule to break down — standard activated carbon, which is what most whole-house filters run on, simply doesn't have the surface reactivity to neutralize it reliably. The smell passes through, the taste lingers, and the filter takes the blame for a chemistry mismatch it was never equipped to solve. Catalytic carbon is a structurally different material. The activation process creates a more reactive surface that breaks the chloramine bond rather than just trapping it. Where standard carbon runs out of options, catalytic carbon goes to work. That's not a failure of Aquasana's design philosophy — it's a failure of the media inside the tank. The right carbon for the job changes everything. No more pool water. Just water. Thanks for tracking down the real fix, Jenner. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

The 60-day

The 60-day money-back guarantee, free shipping, and lifetime tank warranty make SoftPro the lowest-risk upgrade I’ve ever done.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-29

Kurt, "lowest-risk upgrade I've ever done" — that's exactly the purchase experience we designed for, and you named every layer of why. Risk in a big-ticket home purchase comes from three places: the upfront cost if delivery goes wrong, the performance uncertainty once it's installed, and the long-term exposure if something fails years down the road. We built a specific answer to each one. Free shipping eliminates the freight gamble — the system arrives at our cost, not yours. The 60-day money-back guarantee means the performance uncertainty window is yours to close at your own pace, in your own home, with your own water. Not a showroom demo, not a sales rep's word — sixty real days of real results. And the lifetime tank warranty means the long-term exposure question has a permanent answer. Most purchases ask you to absorb the risk so the company doesn't have to. We flipped that. The lowest-risk upgrade you've ever done should also be the best water you've ever had. Welcome to the family, Kurt. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

SoftPro Iron Master AIO

SoftPro Iron Master AIO got rid of the rotten-egg sulphur smell on my well water within four days.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-17

Julieta, four days. That's how fast hydrogen sulfide meets its match. The rotten-egg smell in well water is one of the most disruptive water quality problems a homeowner can live with — and one of the most dramatic to solve. The Iron Master AIO uses an air injection process to oxidize the hydrogen sulfide before it ever reaches your taps, converting it into harmless particles that get flushed out during backwash. No chemicals. No additives. Just air and chemistry doing exactly what they're supposed to. Four days from sulfur smell to clean water is a result we're proud of every single time. Welcome to a much better-smelling home, Julieta. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

SoftPro’s 60-day money

SoftPro’s 60-day money-back guarantee starts from delivery, not some vague “dealer setup” like Culligan’s fine print.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-17

Juliet, "starts from delivery" means exactly what it says. No asterisks. Warranty and return windows anchored to "dealer setup" are a masterclass in fine print. The clock doesn't start until a technician visits — and that visit gets scheduled at the dealer's convenience, not yours. By the time the system is "officially" installed, your protection window is already quietly shrinking. SoftPro's 60-day guarantee starts the moment the box arrives at your door because that's the only date that actually belongs to you. Not a dealer's calendar. Not a franchise's availability. Yours. A guarantee that needs a decoder ring isn't really a guarantee. Thanks for reading the fine print so the rest of us don't have to, Juliet. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

My SoftPro pH Neutralizer

My SoftPro pH Neutralizer Calcite Filter raised our well water from 5.8 to 7.1 pH and stopped the blue-green stains on the fixtures.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-17

Jorge, 5.8 to 7.1 — and the blue-green stains tell the whole story of why that shift matters. Acidic well water below 7.0 pH doesn't just taste off. It actively corrodes copper pipes and brass fixtures, leaching metal into the water supply and leaving those unmistakable blue-green deposits everywhere it touches. The staining isn't a cosmetic problem — it's your plumbing visibly dissolving in slow motion. The Calcite filter works by dissolving small amounts of calcium carbonate into the water as it passes through, gently and naturally raising pH toward neutral. No chemicals, no dosing pumps, no ongoing additives — just mineral chemistry doing what it's done for centuries. At 7.1 you're in clean, neutral, pipe-friendly territory. The fixtures agree. Great result, Jorge. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

I got their Softer/ filter whole house…

I got their Softer/ filter whole house system and all was good with payment/delivery, etc. I did have a little issue with the plumber stating that it needed to be delivered upright for it to work and returning the system may be a safe idea. SoftPro reassured me that it was a common concerned that customers had, but if I wanted a refund I could go ahead with reaching out to that department since it was unopened and delivered under 2 weeks ago, but would need to pay for shipping it back. I filled their online form and sent the email, and they never responded. I took the risk and got a different plumber and all is good the system works fine. My only issue with the SoftPro company, is they did not know I went ahead had it installed and they never returned or responded to my request for returning it. I worry if I do have an issue the company will ghost me again.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-18

Christina, thank you for being candid — and we're genuinely glad the system is installed and working well. You deserved a follow-up and you didn't get one. That's on us, and we're sorry. There was a gap in our inbox access at the time your email came in that meant it wasn't seen — that issue has since been corrected. But we also recognize that Jason's assumption that no news meant good news wasn't the right call on our end. We should have checked in proactively to make sure you felt supported through the process. What we want you to know going forward: Jason is aware of your order and your experience, and you now have a direct line. If anything comes up with your system — any question, any concern — please call us directly rather than the general email. We want to make sure you never feel like you're waiting on a response again. The worry you mentioned about being ghosted in the future is valid given what happened, and the only way we can address it is by showing up differently from here. We intend to. Thank you for taking the chance on the second plumber, and for giving us the opportunity to do better. — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

SoftPro ECO at $967

SoftPro ECO at $967 was perfect for our small home — 12 gpg hardness, two adults, regenerates roughly every 11 days.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-08

Adrian, this is the review we love to see — because you did it exactly right. 12 gpg, two adults, 11-day regeneration cycle. That's not luck, that's a properly sized system doing precisely what it was designed to do. The ECO wasn't built to be the biggest softener on the market — it was built to be the right softener for households exactly like yours. A lot of shoppers get talked into oversized equipment they don't need, paying for capacity that just sits idle. Right-sizing means better efficiency, less salt, less water wasted per regeneration, and a longer equipment life. At $967, you didn't compromise. You just didn't overpay. Welcome to the family, Adrian. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

Demand-initiated

Demand-initiated metered regen on the SoftPro Elite HE means it never wastes water on a Tuesday-2am cycle the household didn't trigger.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-08

Alanna, "Tuesday 2am cycle the household didn't trigger" — that's the most efficient way we've ever heard anyone describe time-clock regeneration, and everything wrong with it. Timer-based softeners don't know if you had houseguests all weekend or were away for a week. They regenerate on schedule regardless — burning salt, wasting water, and doing it at 2am because that's what someone programmed in 1987. Demand-initiated metered regeneration watches actual water usage and only fires when the resin bed is genuinely exhausted. Your household earns every regeneration cycle. Nothing gets wasted on a calendar. It's a small technical detail that adds up to real savings — in salt, in water, and in the quiet you don't lose at 2am. Thanks for putting it so precisely, Alanna. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

The SoftPro Iron Master AIO

The SoftPro Iron Master AIO at $1,549 paired with the Elite HE at $1,159 = my whole well-water solution for $2,708 versus a $7,500 Kinetico quote.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-02

Hector, let's just sit with that number for a second: $4,792 saved. On the exact same problem, solved just as completely. The Iron Master AIO handling iron, sulfur, and manganese at the point of entry — paired with the Elite HE softening and conditioning everything downstream — that's a full well-water stack. Nothing left unaddressed. Kinetico builds great equipment. They also build in a dealer margin, a sales commission, an installation markup, and a kitchen-table close. You paid for the water treatment. Not the sales process. That's the SoftPro difference, and you just put it into perfect numbers. Welcome to the family, Hector. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

Aquasana SimplySoft

Aquasana SimplySoft was thinner on warranty and pricier than the SoftPro Elite Salt-Free at $1,299 — went SoftPro and don't regret it.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-06-01

Irena, you did exactly what every smart shopper should do — compared the full package, not just the brand name. Price and warranty aren't fine print. They're the whole story of what a company actually believes about its product. A thinner warranty at a higher price is a company quietly telling you something. SoftPro's Elite Salt-Free was engineered to win that comparison honestly — better coverage, better value, same proven TAC technology. No gimmicks required. No regrets is the only way to feel about clean water. Welcome to the family. 💧 — The SoftPro Water Systems Team

Beware warranty/return scam

I’ve been dealing with this company for over 2 months trying to find a fix to this softener and ultimately return this $1,500 water softener. With many dead end phone calls and 40 e-mails with Rheia trying to fix it with no success. I’ve had 2 local technicians look at it. They both say the resin is not cleaning on a regen, it doesn’t work. They also stated it is a 1.0 cubic foot unit and not a 1.25 cubic foot like I paid for. Soft pro says there’s nothing wrong with the unit. Rheia stated I cannot return it because it’s been hooked up and used. Website claims 6 month 100% money back guarantee. E-mails go un answered now and phone calls are a dead end. There’s a long “approval” process if any for them to decide if your softener can be returned. Save you time and money. They will not honor their warrantee. Claiming it’s the city water with high manganese. The two local technicians say that’s not the case otherwise every water softener in town would be plugged up and a properly working softener would take care of the high iron.

Reply from SoftPro Water Systems2026-05-27

Charlie, we’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate the opportunity to provide additional context for anyone reading this review. Your system was purchased and installed as a residential water softener for hardness reduction on municipal city water. Since installation, our team has spent considerable time assisting through emails, calls, troubleshooting, and follow-up support in an effort to help determine the source of the discoloration concerns being reported. On May 20, 2026, we sent a detailed follow-up email explaining that Eagle Lake has publicly documented municipal water discoloration and manganese-related water quality issues. Public city documents and state resources reference manganese, discoloration, staining, and treatment infrastructure limitations affecting the municipal water supply in the area. In that email, we also explained that: a standard residential softener is designed primarily for hardness reduction, it is not a dedicated municipal manganese or discoloration treatment system, and replacing a control valve and resin alone would not necessarily resolve a municipal water condition issue. We additionally advised that if manganese fouling had occurred, cleaning products such as Iron Out may help restore performance before considering unnecessary replacement of new components. The system itself has continued to test and operate within expected parameters for hardness removal. Claims regarding sizing and specifications were also reviewed internally and do not match the allegations being made in this review. Regarding returns, our warranty and satisfaction policies do require an approval and inspection process for systems that have been installed and used. That process was explained in writing, along with the return preparation requirements. We understand your frustration and have continued trying to work toward a fair and technically accurate resolution throughout this process. Our goal has always been to help determine whether the issue is equipment-related or tied to the publicly documented municipal water conditions affecting the area. — The SoftPro Team

WARNING ⚠

My wife & I would like to warn consumers... Be VERY CAREFUL making any type of business with SoftPro Water Systems. We've done everything asked by Rhea & she knows it. We have submitted screenshots of water test & from a local company that we had them also test the water. We emailed Rhea the results & screenshots of water test... they're lying. Too bad I'm not able to attach pictures to this review to prove that Rhea is/has been lying. Do NOT trust them. They sold us a water softener+iron in December 2024, we had it professionally installed by a local company. The units have not worked at all. We spoke with Rhea, the water consultant in May 2025. We asked to return the units, were within the 6 month return policy, but Rhea told us that we had to go through the troubleshooting process with her before she approve the refund. BTW, we spoke with Rhea in May 2025. Rhea knows that, we have mentioned it before. They're lying in their response to this review. Google SoftPro Water Systems & read the comments from many other customers who complain about being sold bad units/products & not being allowed to get a refund or replacement or anything. Rhea has had my husband do the very same steps over & over for 12 months. In September or October 2025 we asked Rhea for the 2nd time to return the units because they don't work, at that point she said the 6 month return window had already closed. HOW DIRTY & DISHONEST of her, she told us that we HAD to go through the troubleshooting process with her before she could OK the refund. For 12 months Rhea lied to us, she knew exactly what she was doing... lying to us & tricked us into believing she would approve the refund if after the troubleshooting nothing worked. We've had the water tested locally & we're told the units we've [the ones bought from SoftPro Water Systems] are not working. Rhea had us call Canature, the manufacturer, they sent us an email explaining that SoftPro Water Systems had sold us bad units & also units that are not fit for our household needs, in the email they advised us to speak with SoftPro to get our money back, sadly Rhea didn't care about it & refuses to do the right thing, which is give us our money back. We paid $2,132.65, it's so sad to know that American companies can be so corrupt have no remorse & no moral principles. If you do business with them be VERY CAREFUL.

Hi Rick, thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all customer concerns seriously and want to address the timeline and facts as we have them on record. We have no record of contact in May 2025 — our first documented interaction is from September 2025, at which point troubleshooting was performed and the system was found to be functioning as designed. We want to be transparent about this because the return window is an important part of the timeline in question. Following that, our team continued working with you in November 2025 and again in January 2026. In both cases, our technician requested that a water test be completed to verify whether the system was underperforming, as this is a necessary step before any further action can be taken. That water test was not completed at either of those times. We understand that can feel frustrating, and we are not dismissing your concerns. The troubleshooting process exists to ensure we accurately diagnose any issue — not to delay resolution. We are pleased that when water test results were finally submitted, our team promptly agreed to send replacement media for your systems. That reflects our genuine commitment to making things right when we have the information needed to act. We do want to address the claim regarding the manufacturer's email. We are not aware of any communication in which the manufacturer advised that the units sold were defective or unsuitable — if you are able to share that documentation, we welcome the opportunity to review it. We regret that this experience has been difficult, and we remain committed to a fair resolution.
