Solomon helped clarify everything students need to do to position themselves to be competitive for college admissions. They were very organized and kept us on task throughout the process. Every part of the application process is much more complicated than it seems and having their guidance and advice through it was very helpful. We haven’t seen any results in terms of admissions as yet because we are just now applying, so I suppose time will tell.
We have Samantha when my daughter started High school. She set up very clear guidelines since our first meeting and checks the progress periodically. She responses very fast with clear answers whenever we have any questions. I believe with Samantha's mentor, my daughter will reach her dream school.

Clay is kind, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, and equally important, he has developed excellent rapport with our son. We truly couldn't be happier with our experiences so far. Not only does Clay genuinely care about our son's interests, but he also takes the time to offer helpful suggestions and guidance on everything from school course selections to extracurricular activities. He is an excellent communicator, quick to respond to questions, and very patient when explaining what to expect each year. We especially appreciate how organized he is during our virtual meetings - he makes sure we are on track and cover every action item. We have honestly been blown away by some of the incredible ideas Clay has come up with for our son. We look forward to continuing our work with Clay and are confident that our son is in great hands.

My counselor is very helpful in outlining my plan for all of high school! She is also very supportive of some ventures that I’ve discovered. It makes me feel more confident about my plans for college and gives me assurance in what classes to take, which extracurriculars I should focus on, and more. I wished that I would be able to receive more resources sometimes though.

Our Solomon journey began in the spring of my daughter’s freshman year. We were introduced to our counselor, Jina, who was very welcoming, kind and encouraging. In the early stages, Jina encouraged my daughter to explore different areas of interest. She provided links with information on different subject areas, reading materials, pre-college programs and summer opportunities. She encouraged my daughter to join clubs. She was determined to dig deep to find out what made my daughter tick. Over time, Jina understood my daughter, her personality and her passion. Together they made a strategic plan that was curated uniquely for my daughter.
Over the years, staying true to the plan, Jina has made recommendations for high school course selections, books and research to read, online courses, and research and internship opportunities, just to name a few. When it came to writing the college essay, Jina asked probing questions to get our daughter to think. The support here is invaluable.
Whenever I had a question about anything, I would shoot Jina an email and she would respond timely and with the most well researched answers. She was our own personal counselor and we were very appreciative of her thoughtful responses. Jina was very direct with what needed to get done in the time frame we had. Just to be clear, Jina provides the guidance but your teen will do the work. It has been a very positive growth experience for our daughter. I would recommend just for that alone.

I first engaged Solomon to provide admissions counseling services for my daughter while she was a sophomore at a highly regarded and competitive public high school in one of New York City's suburbs. From the start, we received invaluable guidance in connection with both SAT/ACT test taking strategies and choosing extracurricular activities to position her for the admissions process. Although she is non-diverse, she was ultimately admitted to Cornell's ILR program and graduated with honors in 2024. I do not believe she realistically could have gotten into an ivy league school if we had not hired Solomon--it was the edge that she needed. More recently, with additional assistance from Solomon, my daughter was admitted to Harvard Law School. Once again, the advice we received with respect to LSAT preparation and in the application process was invaluable. Although my daughter is highly motivated and intelligent, I believe her successful admissions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are attributable in large measure to the excellent advice we received during these past years and would highly recommend Solomon's services to anyone considering the pursuit of higher education
Three of my kids worked with Maura at Solomon Admissions Consulting and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She did such an outstanding job with our first child, who was admitted to her top-choice in early decision, that we immediately asked to be paired with her again for the younger two. My children are all very different, and Maura never took a one-size-fits-all approach. She took time to get to know each child, and tapped into each of their unique strengths and personalities to help them craft narratives that were authentic and compelling.
