Yes, Yes, and Hell Yes!!
If you're looking to deepen your yoga practice, or learn how to teach others, I highly recommend the Soma Yoga Institute. Peggy and Liz have a deep knowledge and experience in a wide range of modalities, so what you get with them is the wealth and gems of all that yogic wisdom, and how to avoid common mistakes. They have really created a practice that honors each unique body in a way that is sustainable for life. They immerse you in the spiritual and philosophical wisdom that has been passed down through the ages. I don't think there is a better place in the world to get a through and well-rounded yoga teachers training! Wonderful meals, and all the awe-inspiring elements of nature you could hope for, ocean, river, and the redwood forest. This is the experience of a lifetime! It changed me in profound and unexpected ways, and I know it will do the same for you!
A transformative experience
The California 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training was absolutely everything I was hoping for. Authentic yoga in all of its different aspects, combined with the incredible knowledge and experience that Liz and Peggy bring to every class. I loved how we were teaching right off the bat. I feel so empowered and practiced that I now know I can teach. The space was held with such kindness, positive feedback, and extremely helpful guidance. The balance of chanting, meditation, pranayama, philosophy, nourishing food, and alignment education was amazing. The concept of imperfect action took the fear out of it for me. I had my doubts before coming, but the information on the website and Liz's intro video were so inviting. This experience helped me grow. I would definitely do another training with Soma Yoga Institute and I already recommend it to others.

Excellent course curriculum and top notch experienced knowledgeable and compassionate teachers . The Blue lake 300 hrs YYTC yoga teachers training program amidst the red wood forest landscape was a soul touching experience.

Attended the 200 hour immersive YTT. This was a life changing experience. Very thankful for Liz and Peggy. Their kindness and grace for all us during this time was amazing. Thank you for creating space for us to reach within ourselves and grow during this time!
Transformative
Yoga Teacher Training through Soma Yoga Institute was transformative and one of the best things I have done for myself in my adult life. I was blown away by the knowledge, wisdom, and kindness brought into the program. I felt they spent the right amount of time on each topic and the perfect amount of time for daily mediation and yoga. I am truly grateful I found this program on-line and would HIGHLY recommend this to others. If you have ever thought about doing this, follow your heart, it will lead you to this program.

I completed the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training at Soma Yoga Institute and it truly exceeded my expectations. I learned so much, from alignment and anatomy to the philosophy of yoga. The instructors are excellent, and the program is very well structured from beginning to end. I now love yoga even more than before. The space is absolutely beautiful, and I met such kind and inspiring people along the way. I really enjoyed the holistic alignment, movement, and foundation concepts in this Costa Rica Yoga Teacher Training. Learning muscle engagement and active extension will help me prevent injuries for myself and future clients. I loved yin, sequencing, chakras, and Ayurveda. This has been an amazing experience — I am leaving wanting more knowledge of yoga. The friendships created are so special, and the teachers made everything feel meaningful. Thoughtful, intentional teaching
I attended the 200 hour teacher training in Costa Rica, and WOW I'm so glad that I did! The instructors with Soma were so professional and friendly. All aspects of the curriculum felt purposeful, and they were delivered in bite-sized pieces so that we didn't feel overwhelmed. I really enjoyed the emphasis on teaching that this program implemented from day 1! I can't wait to use everything that I've learned with Soma and carry it with me into my teaching career :)

Magical Somatic Yoga Experience
It was a transformational experience! I did the two-hundred-hour RYTT in Costa Rica with Liz and Jess. They were very kind and helpful, and they gave individualized tips and tricks to help you be successful! They curated a schedule from six-thirty in the morning to eight-thirty at night with two to three yoga classes a day, and we were always doing something to broaden our knowledge of yoga! I highly recommend practicing with Liz and Jess. They are, by far, my favorite yoga teachers I've ever practiced with, and I've been practicing for a little bit over a decade!

Transformative and Inspiring Teacher Training Experience
The Soma Yoga Institute Teacher Training exceeded my expectations. Liz Heffernan’s knowledge and kindness, along with inspiring instruction from Peggy Profant, Samantha, and Molly, made the program deeply meaningful. Soma Yoga Institute - transformative and therapeutic
Soma Yoga Institute’s trainings are therapeutic, transformative, thoroughly planned and thoughtfully structured. I just completed my 200 hr online teacher training with them and already signed up for the 300 hr in-person program next summer. I immediately received all the necessary information, including food preferences and travel insurance. Soma Yoga Institute always creates a trustworthy and reliable experience. They are very approachable and quick with responses to inquiries. Teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and highly skilled in creating safe learning environments from near and afar.
