I have learnt so much!
I have learnt so much from the trainers at SpiritDog! I can see the changes with my dog so far. I have a very busy household so the recommended short training sessions and work at your own pace learning is perfect for my situation. Even if I only have a little time in the evening, I can watch a video before bed, or squeak in some training in the morning before work even :)

The Tackling Reactivity course is extremely informative. I am still in the early stages of reactivity/counterconditioning training with my reactive dog, but the results thus far are promising. I think these courses must be for…
I think these courses must be for people who have never tried to train a dog before. If you’ve tried and your dog is stubborn, and you explain what’s actually going on to these guys, you’ll get an email that they really can’t help you. After they have your money. If all you need to do is teach a dog to sit, fine. If you rescued a dog that is trying to chew the doors off the hinges due to separation anxiety, they will tell you thanks for your money but they can’t help you. Rip off if you have actual issues.

I went back to check on your email conversation with our trainer. In that email you stated that your dog had "broken off a tooth and torn up his snout in the process" of trying to escape in separation anxiety, as well as "there were wood chips and blood from his snout everywhere".
It is not ethical for us to provide behavior modification for such a case over the internet. A dog that is harming themselves or others always needs to be seen by an in-person trainer for their own safety and that of everyone else involved.
We actually state specifically on our website that we cannot assist with cases where safety necessitates an in-person professional :)
That being said, there are many areas of training for which online training works very well - as can be seen in our over 1,300 training videos.
In any case, we offer a 60 day unconditional refund guarantee on our courses :)
I hope that a veterinary behaviorist has been able to see and help your dog! I am sorry he has been this stressed.

Very satisfied so far
The course on reactivity is really well done. Lots of content and real examples of training sessions in different settings. There's material to download as well, and the team of trainers is very responsive when we leave a question. I've only started a week ago but already see some improvement with my dog. At $49, this really is an excellent investment!

Tackling reactivity
Purchased the tackling reactivity bundle to give it a try, and have been pleasantly surprised. My dog used to growl and bark at any dog that came into sight. Now, we are able be around other dogs and 99% of the time there is no reactivity. Life changing.

Hope for Overcoming Dog Reactivity Has Been Restored
I purchased the Spirit Dog course entitled, Tackling Reactivity, specifically because my dog is a large breed and is VERY dog reactive which causes us both great anxiety and stress. He is highly trained and well behaved after having went to a six week board and train experience but that trainer is 3 hours round trip from our home so it’s not feasible to do regular training with them on dog reactivity. I was feeling hopeless and defeated that I would be able to find a trainer to help us overcome this and I felt I needed intense, one-on-one, in-person training that wasn’t available near my small town. Then I found the Spirit Dog course!! I was immediately impressed from the very first lesson and knew if I committed to following the guidance of the course we would eventually overcome this!! The pieces on management and training to change my dogs Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) made perfect sense!! I love that you can message them anytime and they encourage you to send in videos so you can get individualized feedback!! The combination of written word and videos through the course is helpful too!! My dog and I are just getting started (we did our first training session today and it was successful!!) and I have high hopes for a better life for both of us with less dog reactivity in our future!!

Great course for reactive dogs!
My 11-yr-old rescue dog and I have been through tons of training trying to calm his reactivity. He's such a great dog in the absence of triggers, but nothing we've tried (including three different in-person trainers and another online program) has helped much. The SpiritDog Reactivity course, though, has actually been working! I've been working with him on his reactivity to the sound of other dogs barking, and since I've begun the counterconditioning exercises, he's barking noticeably less. It really helps that there are trainers to answer your questions about your specific dog and situation.
It's amazing how much adding sniffing to exercises I had already tried with limited success has helped. The course is presented in a manner that's simple and easy to follow, without overwhelming you with too much information at once or leaving you wondering where to start. I'm super impressed and would highly recommend this course for others with reactive dogs!

Glad I purchased all the content
I am impressed with how responsive this company is. I have asked a few questions and got answers within 24 hours. My dog is responding very well to the training. I feel so much more in control. There is so much content! I am happy that I purchased the complete package. I love having different ideas about increasing my relationship with my dog. My puppy is very active, and there are so many ideas to help him be calm and obedient. It is so fun to see him progress and learn, I am looking forward to having a dog that will be welcome anywhere I take him.
I new about the counterconditioning training before, but the course gives more examples to try on. I also like, that the reads and the videos are short, so I am able to do the course during my work.
I wonder if my example would be interesting to mention. My dog is reactive to other dogs, especially small breeds and those, who barks at their fences. So we continued passing the fenced barking dogs in the neibourhood, keeping the distance and doing sniffing. Now my dog can pass these situations almost without paying attention to barking dogs behind the fence. I understand, it’s not the best option to use others reactive dogs for training.
