it's great in that it is able to support me in my learning, easy to follow and great feedback. It's not so good in that you cannot retain the feedback, it resets, so you can't really go back and look at it to be able to improve. You have only the feedback email to rely on and that does not tell you all the things that went awry. It would also be amazing if it could develop the call function to be able to chat handsfree with your AI tutor, with perhaps a code word to signal the end of your particular conversation piece... instead of having to push the mic button. But overall I have had a leap forward in my education and improved significantly, thanks

Scam
I have intermittent memory loss and downloaded your app, with absolutely no interest in learning languages. I only found out about the app when I saw the charge on my bank statement. I never used the app, I didn't even know I had it. I've emailed multiple times and been ignored. I read the terms and conditions and they are able to issue refunds, they just choose not to. This isn't a language learning AI platform, this is a money making scheme. I'm sure there are more honest language app out there, this isn't one of them

This AI teaches you how to pronounce the words not just know them. It is much quicker than Duolingo which I used for 3 years learning Spanish. Portuguese is tougher but this is a very good software and reasonable.

Its a scam
Its a scam, I never used the app yet they took a year subscription from my account. I have never even heard of this company before.

Hi, The transaction is from Talkpal, AI language-learning app. In almost all cases like this, a 14-day free trial was activated and subsequently rolled over into a paid plan. We believe in fair and transparent billing, and you definitely shouldn’t be charged for an app you haven’t used. Simply email [email protected] from the affected email address. Title: Unfair billing practices – ignored my cancellation requestReview:
I subscribed to Talkpal, but on the very day of my annual renewal (26 April), I sent a clear email to the customer support team requesting that my subscription be cancelled and the payment stopped. Instead of processing my request, they sent me an automated message telling me to do it myself. Now, they are refusing to issue a refund, claiming that ‘too much time has passed’ since the renewal. The only reason time has passed is because the customer support team itself ignored my notice of immediate and legally binding cancellation under EU law. I have not used the account at all since the renewal date. This is unacceptable customer service and a complete disregard for consumer rights. Final update: The full refund has now been successfully credited to my card account. Whilst it is incredibly disappointing that it took a public 1-star review and a formal legal ultimatum under EU law to get a response, I am grateful that Talkpal’s management finally stepped in, took responsibility and manually processed the refund. I am raising my rating to 3 stars because the issue was eventually resolved, but future users should continue to keep an eye on their renewal dates.
