It wasn't clear that I had to do something to actually see the tasker's chat respons
The tasker was great. I had a problem with the web site. After I selected the tasker, a chat section showed up saying the tasker would contact me within an hour. After more than an hour of waiting, I don't remember exactly what I did (refresh the page, or maybe click in the task window), but I saw that the tasker had responded within 1 minute. If the chat window had told me that I had to do something to enable the chat, the task could have been completed earlier. Again, the tasker himself was fine. And again, I don't remember exactly what I did to finally see the tasker's chat response.

Unreliable Platform
Hired 2 Taskers with supposedly 5 star ratings to complete 1 organization job, 1 repair job. Organization tasker took 2 hours to nothing that was asked, despite repeated communications on what she was hired for. Repair tasker with Elite Status never showed up after accepting the task, no communication. The refund process requires you to email customer service with copies of your chat to prove work not completed, despite being charged for the jobs up front. I likely will not return to this platform.

Overall good pool of takers to support different needs. Easy to make reservations and chat with takers until the task is completed. Hassle free booking and payments.
Excellent Experience…
Super easy app to use and I appreciated having choices of Taskers to choose from. Great communication and the project went smoothly from start to finish. Will definitely be using again in the future.

Assembler was punctual and worked almost without interruption until the job was complete. Assembler was polite and engaging when he was asked question. He was very helpful in ensuring the assembled items were located properly in the rooms.
poor communication and service
charged for the first scheduled day, although re scheduled. tasker was unable to identify parts. so on the next scheduled day, work could not be completed. he told to reach out but never returned call. reached out to taskrabbit , no response for days , still waiting

Did not have a good first experience
This was my first time using Task Rabbit and it was a bad experience. They came to assemble Ikea urniture, left large scratches across my wood floor and then tried to tell me the scratches were already there. If they owned up to it, we could have fixed it together, but denying it was so shady. There are also scratches and chipped paint on the furniture.

This was my first time using Taskrabbit. The app itself is excellent, it’s well designed, easy to use, organized, and the whole booking process is very clear. Unfortunately, my experience with the Taskers was extremely disappointing. I booked a Tasker who cancelled at the last minute, wasting my entire day. Yes, I received a refund, but a refund doesn’t give me back the time I lost. I then accepted a replacement Tasker for a much later appointment at 9:30 PM because I urgently needed the job done that same day. Unfortunately, that Tasker also cancelled, and the excuse given was simply not believable. In my opinion, Taskrabbit’s management should be much stricter when hiring and managing Taskers. If someone accepts a booking and then cancels without a legitimate emergency, there should be meaningful consequences, including restrictions on accepting new tasks. Customers plan their day around these appointments, and last-minute cancellations waste valuable time. Just as clients may be charged cancellation fees, I believe customers should also be compensated when a Tasker cancels at the last minute without a valid reason. Time is valuable, and the current system doesn’t adequately protect customers from repeated cancellations.

Communication with Tasker was…
Communication with Tasker was excellent. The tasker was very neat and cleaned up after himself. He also communicated updates of the job. The job was done quite well, a few touch ups were needed after the initial job.
Experienced
Colin was awesome, very knowledgeable and great communication, I wasn’t sure if I had all the parts to replace our vanity and faucet but Colin knew exactly what was needed and had all the proper tools. He even took the time to teach me when I had questions. Would highly recommend and will be using again for other tasks.
Very below average job
The taskers will cancel on you last minute, or reschedule and then cancel even when you communicate clearly when you want the job done. The replacement that shows up .. Very below average job. Highly disappointing

Scott provided excellent service from start to finish. One problem was that your website did not provide good instructions to attach a picture when replying to the contractor. This could be improved.
Booking process and Cancellation
I have used taskrabbit quite a bit but this time I had a poor experience. They know seems to be no way to communicate with the tasker before you book a task and charge me a deposit. The result was that I got left standing at the door with no Tasker, because I had no way to know that the tasker was not in town. It was then too late to book another Tasker. I had just had a very frustrating experience Joel. After having postponed on me the previous week, I offered several times during the week, and then at his request I turned my days inside out and missed some family time in order to accommodate him coming, at his request, on Saturday afternoon. He then canceled on me at the last minute. All the while this was a booked task in the system.

Adam is a consummate professional. He showed up on time, worked diligently and quietly to complete his task. He solved problems when they arose and assembled my beds - one of which was very complicated - in a smart and efficient manner. I recommend him highly.
Awesome service
I had a great experience with Levon who came to mount my desk. It was difficult to mount but he did it seamlessly and properly! The only reason I deducted a star is because Task Rabbit said he was available a week earlier when he wasn’t but he clearly communicated that from the outset! Great experience, great communication skills, I would book him again.
Would hire again in a heart beat!
Innocent arrived within 90 minutes of booking. He was efficient, quiet and skilled completing the assembly quickly. He was trustworthy and worked independently, tidying up after himself. Treated my property with respect. Would hire again in a heart beat.
Good start but there is more work to be done.
The concept is good. In the U.S, it works reasonably OK. In Toronto, Canada, hiring someone on Task Rabbit is a mighty frustrating experience. Taskers' schedules are just a bait. Once you choose a tasker, then the frustrating dance of negotiation starts. If there is a single thing Task Rabbit should fix, it is that. Perhaps not through penalties but through public reputation. Maybe give a tasker points for keeping their calendars truly up-to-date and boost their reputation publicly by giving public points for making the experience good.
