TiqAssist First Impressions

I've always sold my tickets through Ticketmaster... until now! I wanted to try TiqAssist but I was a little concerned that they needed direct access to my account, including passwords. So I thought I'd vet the entire process first. I delisted a preseason game at Ticketmaster (always a tough sell) and listed with TiqAssist... It sold within 3 days and I got $15/ticket more than Ticketmaster. Remember that you will need to give SSN details. This is a new tax requirement that I was unaware of, so I called and talked to a very friendly and knowledgeable CSR who explained everything to my satisfaction. She explained who actually receives my tax info and assured me that my info would not be sold. I am very confident that my details remain private with TiqAssist and their tax preparer. Now TiqAssist is my one stop shop to sell tickets; it's super easy to load, list and track my tickets, and they give you a full breakdown of fees. I highly recommend TiqAssist and have complete confidence in their services.

worried about viability

I tried to enroll my MLB season tickets with Tiqassist but they rejected my request with only vague reasoning. I suspect they may be overwhelmed which would worry me if I were a subscriber to their service.

Thank you for your interest in TiqAssist and for taking the time to apply. We review each ticket package individually to determine whether we can reasonably support resale over an entire season. Applications may be declined based on factors such as historical resale demand for the team, seat location within the venue, ticket quantity, or expected market liquidity for that package. This review process isn’t related to capacity constraints, but rather to setting realistic expectations and ensuring that sellers who do enroll are positioned for successful outcomes. If your ticket package changes in a future season — for example, seat location or quantity — we would be happy to re-evaluate at that time. We appreciate your understanding and thank you again for considering TiqAssist.

Good product but not producing results

The service is good and the app is easy to use but the commissions are killing any hope of profit. I can’t see continuing as a customer as the commisssion fees are not being covered by any increase in sales price. I was hoping that your system would find the highest dollar value but I have had more success selling myself.

Reply from TiqAssist2024-04-26

We appreciate your feedback! The TiqAssist commission starts at 15% and covers the data we provide to set prices for every game, management of each game in your season and any sales guarantees we have to extend if necessary. As you evaluate other selling options, keep in mind the marketplaces that offer lower selling fees will require you to do all the work of selling the tickets, don't guarantee a sale, and only reach 20-25% of ticket buyers. TiqAssist does evaluate ticket package value and commission annually and are subject to change. We hope to be able to continue to work with you into future seasons.

Incredibly high fees

Ease of use is amazing. Fees are incredibly high. I don't like that I do not get to choose if you can partition my seats into numerous sales or all-or-none sales (I have 4 seats).

Reply from TiqAssist2024-03-30

Thank you for your feedback. With our access to secondary market we strive to get customer's more for their tickets than they could on their own as to offset our higher fees. There is a premium on 4-packs over 2-packs, but if you would like more flexibility on your package, we encourage you to reach out to a support rep for available options. Thanks for selling with us!

Highly professional operation

This is my first year using Tiqassist and so far, I can't say enough about the team behind this company. I have sent in a few requests and questions which were all promptly addressed. The platform is extremely easy to use. My only drawback is that the commission rate feels a little high, but I didn't dock them a star as the service has been top-notch.

Bottom line: I recommend using TiqAssist

TiqAssist is a reliable service. Most favorite things: 1.They guarantee tickets listed will be sold. For two seasons they've met the guarantee. 2. Payment is always received as promised. 3. The company continues to grow & add new services. Least favorite thing (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars): TiqAssist commission is approx 20% per ticket. I'm already paying a listing fee with seller sites (ie: ticketmaster 10%). In total, for every ticket sold, the commission paid is 30%. IMO, the commission paid to TiqAssist is too high at 20%. Bottom line: I will continue to use TiqAssist & I would highly recommend their services.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad there are so many features you enjoy with our service! With our access to secondary market we strive to get customer's more for their tickets than they could on their own as to offset our higher fees. We do the work so fans can focus on being fans! Commissions vary by secondary market ticket package value and each season we re-assess, so commission rate could vary for next year for you. Thanks for growing with us!

Decent service but you still have to watch yourself

Its a Decent service. But do not like the fact they advertise what they could sell the ticket at and you agree to that but a few hours down the line to next day they end up selling the ticket at hundreds less. This isn't a list and they take care of it deal. They guarantee a sale but at times it's at way less than market value to get the sale. There were plenty of times I needed to delist because they were listing 150+ Below market. For example if seats in the area are listed at 500, they will list at 200. I delisted a few times and just went to sell my own ticket on stubhub or ticketmaster at 450. It's good if you just want to guarantee a sale no matter what. But as it gets closer to game time to get that guarantee sale they really drop the prices. Sometimes it's better to put in the work to list yourself to make a couple hundred more when they start dumping the price.to make.sure a tixket sells, especially after the commission fees they charge.

We appreciate your feedback! Sales performance by game can vary wildly - just like stocks. We encourage our users to look at the performance of the overall ticket package instead of examining each game's performance. We do not factor in face value as we go with what the secondary market is demanding as well as inventory levels. We also know how ugly resale value can get within four weeks of the game, so we try our best to sell seats in advance of one month from the game. Selling early on average yields the best sale prices and any decreases will be more gradual. We encourage you to reach out to our support team if there is ever a game with price changes you aren't comfortable with. Our goal is to secure customers the highest sale we can. Thanks for selling with us!

Easy to use

Easy to use with the website but, I wish there was an app for Android users (Apple users have an app). I've had nothing but good experiences. This has been my first season using TiqAssist and I plan to continue using their services. TiqAssist guarantees that my tickets will sell and at competitive prices. Every game I did not plan to attend have sold well in advance of the scheduled games.

We are thrilled you are enjoying the service thus far! We understand that many are eager to use our app on Android smartphones or tablets. Until we are available in Google Play, we value your support and patience and are continually committed to providing the best possible user experience for all our users, regardless of their platform.

Absolutely flawless service and the piece of mind selling the games that I can’t go to, and I don’t even have to worry about makes being a seasonal holder this year the best in my last 20 years of having the tickets. I have already and would highly recommend this company to anyone. All I can say is GO BIRDS.

25% fee. Please

I get the fact that you have to charge a fee on top of the other platforms but it wasn't that clear when signing up. The commission transparency isn't good enough and could be better. I think the service could be great and serves a need as the event gets closer but please keep improving communications so casual sellers can make good decisions.

Reply from TiqAssist2023-09-28

Thank you for the feedback! We are actively negotiating with all marketplaces to reduce the fees that we pass along to our customers, which is currently a 10% marketplace fee. The TiqAssist commission starts at 15% and covers the data we provide to set prices for every game, management of each game in your season and any sales guarantees we have to extend if necessary. We continuously monitor your ticket prices and transfer the ticket to the final buyer once your seats are sold. The transaction costs are clearly outlined when you list your seats with the dollar amount you pay in commission + marketplace fees. There is a fee for the convenience we provide, and you can always list seats on your own on an individual marketplace. The customers that leave us great reviews appreciate that we get them the best possible value with the least amount of effort, so they can focus on being a fan, and not managing the seats on their own.

Terrific customer service

Terrific customer service. Real people, not robots. So much easier than trying to post my tickets individually. I actually make more money using TiqAssist than I did posting them myself. Even with the extra fees.

Reply from TiqAssist2023-09-28

Many customers tell us that they make the same amount of money as they did listing on their own, without all the hassle of self listing! When it comes down to it, we know that our customers time is more valuable than paying the commission to sell seats they can't use. Thanks for the feedback! Enjoy the games you can make!!

Lifelong fan!

Easy to use. Gets me the best price for my tickets. Sure the fee is higher than if you post online yourself, but the fact is this gets offset by the tickets always selling for a higher price than you’d get on your own given their technology. Absolute no brainer.
