My experience was great due to the reader and study friendly material, and having attained my goal of becoming a CPT. The use of mnemonics made studying easier and fun. I learnt quite a lot to prepare for the fitness industry.
Thanks to Coach Domenic who provided me the technical and motivational support I needed.
Thanks also to IPTA for making it possible without me having to travel.
Keep up the great work guys for giving international students the opportunity to become certified trainers without the hassle of traveling.
My experience with IPTA was pretty great. I was able to complete the certification on my time, without worrying about deadlines. The certification has given me the confidence to pursue personal training and helping others with their fitness journey. The only negative I had was that terminology that was used in the exam differed from what was used in the textbook and study materials. Otherwise, it's a great program that I definitely recommend.

IPTA Stidy guide is top notch!
I had been watching tons of YouTube fitness trainer videos and I became familiar with many of the words and technique names. However, I didn't really know what 'distal' meant. Just was familiar with hearing it.
This program from IPTA was what really helped me learn and remember what all the terms mean. The daily check-in and study guide were a huge help. I found that after going through the study guide and taking all the preventive questions I had a great grasp of the material.
Going into the textbook after this was a great help for me too. The study guide worked as an introduction to basic ideas and the sample tests served as a memory reinforcement tool. The text book gets into the real nitty gritty details that you'll use everyday as a trainer. I found going in this order helped me pass the test in about 5 weeks I believe of studying 3-4 hours a day.
I felt that the study guide material was well laid out, and easy to follow and understand. The online flashcards and sample test questions also helped tremendously for further remembering some of the more difficult course material.
I am happy to have chosen IPTA as my guide for attaining my CPT and CNS designations.
I really enjoyed the self-paced learning platform. Everything was easy and accessible in terms of studying at my own pace. The quizzes and tests were very helpful in gauging my progress, especially the feature to study my weaker areas. Since completing the program and certification test, I am now working at UFC Fit in California. It's been a fantastic experience knowing that my program was effective in my day-to-day work with clients of all levels.

I wish I could give more than five…
I wish I could give more than five stars—my experience was incredible. I’ve wanted to earn my CPT and CNE for a long time, and IPTA made the entire process painless and genuinely valuable. The study materials were clear, easy to understand, and the learning platform made everything accessible and straightforward.
If you’re looking to get certified, I highly recommend IPTA. I started training back in high school but let myself fall out of shape over the years. These certification courses gave me the up‑to‑date, science‑based information I needed to confidently step back into the modern fitness world and succeed.

Very good
Getting qualified through Trainor Academy's IPTA CPT was a pleasant experience from start to finish. I found the material to be thorough, but would have liked some practical examples of corrective exercises for people with common shoulder/knee injuries. Admittedly, I didn't use the learning platform all that much, although I did find the mock tests to be valuable. The exam was easy to set up and I received my certificate immediately upon passing. The only thing I think should be added is that the student should be required to do some kind of 'shadowing' hours before the certificate is sent, as hands on the ground experience is crucial in a field such as this and it would make the qualification mean more. I am currently employed through the private gym, Shore Shape, based in Johannesburg South Africa, which is also where I chose to do unpaid shadowing hours to further my experience and knowledge.
I bought the basic program that the company offers and I like that all the information was readily available. The quick access allowed me to study wherever and the study guide was extremely useful. Immediately, I was able to enter a gym and start training people with my certification.
Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. The course material in the textbooks is well-structured, and you have access to a wealth of resources to help you learn, memorize, and review what you’ve studied. Furthermore, you can track your progress and gauge how well-prepared you are for the final exam. I appreciated that the CPR course was included in the price, (though I would suggest making it clearer that this certification must be obtained *before* sitting for the trainer certification exam.
I would also appreciate it if images could be included in the exercises section to provide better clarification and aid in visual retention.)
I looked around quite a bit, and IPTA had the best priced accredited certification program. There was a lot of material, and though I’d already done two other personal training courses in years past, I was still learning new things while studying for this exam. I’m thankful to have passed, and now feel that I have the knowledge and resources to put together a good training program. I not not currently work at a gym, but do use the knowledge I’ve acquired in my own life, as well as those around me. I teach a rebounding course and use my knowledge of personal training there every class.
I highly recommend IPTA if you would like to become a certified personal trainer, certified nutritional specialist and/or certified bodybuilding specialist. Their materials are extremely thorough and provide you with the fundamentals needed to pursue a career in health and fitness. I chose IPTA because of their affordability, their three month job guarantee and their exam pass guarantee. I passed the exam the first try and I got a job just over a month later. IPTA gave me the confidence boost I needed to go from being on the fence when it came to considering a career in fitness to going all in and now being a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness. I am now focused on becoming a certified bodybuilding coach and gaining as much knowledge as I can to best help my clients. Thank you ITPA for giving me the resources to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry. I am incredibly grateful!
The IPTA certification was an overall good experience and I would use them again. First, the certification and its corresponding test is made by the same company that mass produces CPT training materials, which I appreciated.
Second, it is very affordable as far as NCCA accredited CPT's go, which opens up a lot of doors for employment in the US.
My course came with a complimentary online study guide and the full textbook. Even at the lowest tier package, I still had access to online quizzes and helpful mnemonic tools.
I would say that the textbook is by and far the best resource both for learning personal training and for passing the exam. The online study guide is a great resource to solidify concepts you've already pulled from the textbook, but it is too abridged to fully educate a particularly new personal trainer.
The certification exam is very well done. It is difficult, comprehensive, and very well proctored. I also noticed that a significant amount of questions transcended simple definitions and concepts and focused on practical skills based on situations personal trainers would reasonably encounter.
If you pass the exam, you should be competent that you are well equipped to function as a personal trainer (provided you really read that textbook and didn't rush).
I became employed within 2 months of earning my cert, from a local adaptive personal training company. Adaptive personal training is very corrective exercise focused, and I felt the IPTA textbook provided a solid foundation for that line of work. The job itself is fulfilling and there is enough of a market in my area to make reliable income.
Comprehensive training platform for different learning styles. I did feel the training only covered about 75% of the questions on the exam. This program help you get a great score on the exam but I had to use supplementary learning materials.
Great experience. The training materials were top notch and the platform was easy to navigate. IPTA made obtaining the CPT certification accessible, affordable, and rewarding.
Great material and very informative. The review and study information is set up for you to succeed as long as you follow the guidelines set forth by IPTA within the study material. I had a lot of questions pertaining to getting scheduled for the exam and they were always prompt and helpful and getting the exam scheduled in a timely manner. I would highly recommend IPTA to anyone looking to get a CPT certification and start their fitness instructor goals!

Great Value NCCA Cert
I got my cert with IPTA and got hired at a big box gym. I like how it included flashcards and chapter review quizzes to make sure I remembered the contents of what I read.
My IPTA certification journey was beyond expectations!
The study material was comprehensive and relevant to what is required to learn and know as a certified personal trainer.
And, it certainly will prepare you to pass the exam.
With that said, this high-quality certification program can't be beat!

It was great!
Loved the IPTA study guide. The web app is organized and easy on the eyes - made learning material super palatable, and catered to different learning styles! Was able to pass my certification comfortably on the first try after using the study guide at my own pace.
Well-rounded coursework with a lot of value. It only took a few months and I was moving at a relaxed pace. I intended to get my CPT for hypertrophy/basic strength and learned much more in that category. I appreciated learning about how weightlifting causes adaptation throughout you're entire system and IPTA's flashcards were helpful memorizing info. I'd recommend utilizing the testing categories and retest on incorrect answers, as that helped shore up gaps in my knowledge. A lot more affordable vs other NCCA accredited certifications!
My experience was great because they’re very responsive in the email. The material it left was easy to study. I love the flash cards. My only complaint is that there isn’t a phone number to get answers. The phone support is very basic, and makes you email for everything outside of basic things. Outside of that, it was great and I am happy with my cert. Will recommend them to anyone seeking a certification!
