How to speak MUSIC
How to speak the beautiful language of music. This is the most valuable thing that I learned from Ulrich.
This made me think like a musician.
I didn’t even think about this aspect when I entered the course. I thought that melody and chords is all - but learned that rhythm, accentuations and dynamics is what makes music eventually alive.
Then there was the Basic Training stuff. This is a well-structured system. The TGT community provides an extremely powerful support here. If you accomplished this, then you became a guitar player. Since my graduation I have the freedom to quickly learn and play any kind of blues / rock / funky song in full and with feel. Ulrich made me a guitar player. I could not be happier 😊. Gabor

Practicing things I never knew to put…
Practicing things I never knew to put in foundations that I never had. Started playing nearly 50 years ago and have been on a roller coaster of playing/not playing, always wanting to, but so many responsibilities especially as a young family man that had to work hard and long hours to keep food, shelter, clothing and hopefully a place of growth and happiness. Anyhow, one thing that helped bring me back and more serious than ever... And that's the MORE. I knew there was vastly more to music making on the guitar but just never knew where to find it, how to make it work for me. It wasn't on the internet, because we had no internet. I wasn't in a band, so not much collaboration. I did learn some songs mainly on the acoustic. I would look at song books and guitar magazines, but when I saw music scores and tablature, I just was so intimidated I did not go that route. I've looked at a lot of stuff on the internet, but did not see a way that the pieces to understand were put together.
I used to coach basketball for a few years and something valuable I learned and taught came back to mind when I met Ulrich Ellison. Fundamentals i.e. foundational skills. I knew the best team was the team with the best fundamentals, learned well because there was a planned, systematic way to grasp these skills. That's what Ulrich and I talked about and that's what I was missing. That, and the advanced techniques available in a structured way for me, as a now, sort of intermediate player. Ulrich stresses things important to learning guitar like good habits, listening, good use of resources (which TGT provides a ton of) and a great guitar community that meets regularly with our instructor for questions answered and fine tuning. Ulrich is inspiring and when he critiques your work (you post videos – actually, it’s cooler than I ever thought) he is spot on and helpful to keep you moving forward. I’ve learned to do what he says and if I don’t understand, I ask him. He’s very approachable.
This has been the greatest music investment in my music journey by far than anything before (I had bought a few courses, but progress was so slowwww…)
I feel like I’m being transformed though there’s still a bunch to learn to get me where I can soar. I feel like the dots are finally being connected!
Ulrich is all about creativity and feel and musicality, melody, harmony. I’m stoked a bunch since late Feb this year. I love TGT and Ulrich.
I am forever grateful to Ulrich for creating TGT. In December of last year I could only strum along to songs with cowboy chords and had no lead knowledge or skills. I think I kind of begged him to let this beginner join and he agreed as I had the time to practice. I was way overwhelmed at first then I began to notice… I noticed that if I followed the structure as designed I was seeing consistent weekly improvements. I feel with each task my ears, chops, and theory brain are improving simultaneously (maybe some method to the madness) 9 months ago I had no practice plan, couldn’t tell you what a mode was and really only played in one key. Today I’m comfortable in different keys, modes, triad pairs and things I thought sounded foreign a short time ago are in my daily routine and becoming more familiar daily. Im not where I want to be but leaps and bounds from where I was.
There’s also crazy valuable information on the weekly lessons. Finally I was way over practicing before. Playing too long while practicing the wrong things. I feel since I joined this program I can make a 15 minute focused practice session more valuable than one of my 3 hour sessions 9 months ago. Most importantly I’m not aimlessly noodling anymore. Im comfortable with my instrument and know where notes are hearing the intervals better each day and I’m enjoying playing more than I ever have before!
Total Guitar Transformation is just that.. it's fantastic!
TGT is great no matter what level of guitar player you are. There is an extensive wealth of information and detailed instruction by fantastic musicians and teachers. The community vibe is especially cool as students can encourage each other and share the achievements as they progress.

This is a thorough and comprehensive…
This is a thorough and comprehensive system. It is extensive and well-indexed. Everything you need is here at your fingertips, and if you have the time, there is so much here to learn.
The best thing about this system though, is the human warmth, professionalism and dedication of the leadership. These qualities have produced a vibrant, friendly and supportive community of learners, and a sense of family.
The method is effective. Students display obvious progress. Love it.

It’s a unique and special program that can transform your guitar playing indeed!
Ulrich is a brilliant inspiration and a very observant dedicated mentor offering detailed personalized expert reviews on any videos submitted by students in ways that help us grow, and obvious results do show when his suggestions are taken to heart.
Ulrich really cares and makes himself available for any questions at guidance calls.
The program is rich with great content, which can be easy for some, maybe harder for others to navigate, but Ulrich and the community are always warm and helpful, it just takes somewhat proactive approach to get all the help and support needed. The community is great.
I wasn’t a beginner when I joined, and though I haven’t been as active as other members, I personally gained noticeable abilities by simply completing various foundational tasks and learning from the calls and from observing the journey of others and how they are guided by Ulrich too, sometimes that can be so powerful. Not as powerful as doing the work and submitting videos myself, but still a useful plus side of the inner circle setup.
I noticed those who don’t get easily discouraged but keep posting videos and asking for help and feedback are the ones that make the most striking improvements quickest. Loving to learn and play Hendrix songs also helps for anyone considering TGT.

I have worked with many guitar teachers over the last 50 years. Ulrich is the best. His system is not only very informative and motivational, it is also fun and entertaining. If it’s not fun, people won’t stick with it. You will love this program.

I think that Total Guitar is a great investment!!!
I think that Total Guitar Transformation is a great investment. Ulrich's approach is excellent, and the best part is that he meets players where they are and is very patient. I have been playing for over 40 years and am still learning and working on my discipline, this program greatly helps in that. The workshops are top notch with some of the best players in the world. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to improve their playing and get out of their box. Kudos Total Guitar Transformation Team!!!

One of the very good decision I made in life
I learned whole my life the guitar by myself, (Autodidakt) I wasn't good but I had fun and I liked the few things I played on the acoustic. Last year, I came to a point where that wasn't anymore sufficient to me. I wanted to express the sounds which I feel inside myself on a guitar. Plus, I wanted to learn how to play the electric myth. What a task and what a challenge. I've search for ages on the internet, lost almost my believe and by coincidence (maybe not) I saw Ulrich's TGT. A couple of days later I had a personal conversation with him, via Zoom. He asked me several things, he "tested" my abilities on the guitar by playing some notes and asked to repeat and finally he said, that he would like to teach me more and how I can discover the secrets of transferring the inner voice onto the guitar. He insisted that this only would makes sense if I am willing to spent at least 30 minutes a day on the guitar. How right he was. Now, a year later I am not Hendrix, no, neither I am Carlos, no, but I am far from what I was before I met Ulrich and his academy. I know, that if I am persistent in my practising that I will become the guitarist I almost wanted to be.
Whoever reads that, do yourself a favour, stop searching, give yourself the chance to become structured in your studying process, become part of a worldwide and lovely community with direct contact if you wish so. Become part of a group dynamic process which will kick your butt and last but not least, for all the work, the patience and the dedication Ulrich is putting into that academy and his students, it is worth every single penny. Go for it.

So glad I did this!
After years of campfire chords and directionless noodling on guitar - I decided I wanted more - to play with confidence and feeling. Just by chance I bumped into Ulrich Ellison and his TGT guitar academy - a stroke of very good luck. His focus on structure, fast accurate feedback and personal attention - with a strong emphasis on Hendrix's style - is a powerful recipe for developing top notch guitar skills. Along with a very positive and supportive group of other guitarists on a similar journey in our facebook group - who offer support and encouragement - my guitar skills are now way beyond campfire chords. My progress has exceeded my expectations and I feel very lucky to have met such an excellent, accomplished instructor/mentor who cares and who gets it.

Best guitar lessons I paid for
I was stuck, really struggling to advance my playing. I would practice the same scale shapes and exercises over and over on my daily guitar practices. I just wasn’t happy with my sound.
I saw the TGT info and I waited about 4 months before I signed up I’m kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long to sign up.
The structure practices and development of skills needed to play more fluently is perfect. Plus the zoom classes not only help make understanding of theory and technique easier but it’s also inspiring. Other people in the group help with positive feedback and support.
I know after just a few weeks I found my lead guitar technique has improved. Solos that I never thought I could achieve sound melodic and even the covers songs are easier to play. I noticed I can learn new songs in a couple of play through now. It’s also not taking that long to play new material consistently.
Ulrich wants you to be the best guitar player you can be. He’s not just going to pass you off on lessons and say you got it when he can see you’re not accomplishing the lesson. It’s not a McDojo just because you paid for the lesson you won’t be handed your black belt in guitar mastery. You’re going to have to work and put in the effort. Ulrich will get you to the level where you earned it.
I suggest if your serious about your guitar playing join TGT be ready to put in the practice and effort and you’ll be rewarded in your playing. No matter if you’re a seasoned veteran or a struggling beginner this course is something to have in your wheel house so you can succeed at better playing and learning.

TGT has been an Excellent Experience and Investment
I joined TGT in February of 2023 and couldn't be happier with my decision. Any initial doubts I had about the investment quickly faded once in the program. I have been playing guitar 20 years and had reached a plateau where I wasn't growing and I wasn't sure how to proceed. Ulrich has created an excellent program That not only develops your fundamental guitar skills but is a structured program for unlimited growth. Ulrich is an excellent coach / mentor. He is passionate about teaching and helping his students grow. His feedback is positive and always very helpful. This was a key missing element in my guitar journey, along with the great community of fellow-minded guitarists. It is a very supportive environment. I look forward to picking up my guitar everyday!

Total Guitar Transformation is definitely what I recommend !
I wasn’t interested in playing guitars until my early 30’s , self taught for the most part had an instructor for 6 months early on ( who really didn’t teach me much other than little riffs and such ) So now in my mid 50’s being lost is the learning and not knowing what to learn Ulrich Ellison comes along. After a short 1 on 1 he offered me a spot in his TGT community. The best decision I could have made was joining. After the first 2 weeks I discovered I had absolutely no foundation to build from , with TGT’s structure and Ulrich’s support as well as the best family of musicians to support me on my journey I’m learning the fundamental foundations I need as well as how everything on guitar is put together. If your struggling with learning or are stuck and feeling frustrated that your not progressing like you want to but have the drive to succeed Ulrich Ellison’s mentoring and the Total Guitar Transformation family is the best place to learn.

Ulrich is amazing
Ulrich is amazing. I was one of the first students to join TGT, i think somewhere around 20 people in the group back then. I was the first one to graduate from TGT - and it’s amazing to see how the community is growing. My personal experience: Ulrichs Mentoring and Guidance together with the Hendrix-Based understanding and learning of so many important topics (thinking in intervals, chordal style approach, modes, triads, archetypical licks, blues style guitar…to be continued endlessly…) is nothing short but amazing. Thanks Ulrich, for making me a better guitar player. Greets from Austria, Christoph B.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - READ ME
I think people really interested in a life-changing opportunity should read below!!!
Why? Because I want to share my experience with the hopes of reaching someone out there in need.
You know the saying, " You have to give it away in order to receive it".
I wish I read this post 2yrs ago because I could have saved so much time! And now I know that's one of main ingredients in developing into a progressional musician.
I was probably just like the majority of us out there who play guitar and are self-taught. Frustrated!!! Well, specifically like feeling my hard work is not showing as much in my playing ability; or questioning my path, and is it goal-oriented to maximize time and ensure success? Really I just wanted to get better and was willing to do whatever it takes...
I found the TGT Academy years ago on Instagram. Ulrich posted a video and what he was saying really made sense to me. But I was set in my ways to learn on my own so I never gave him or his academy another thought.
That was until June of 2023 when I took the leap and setup a free consultation with a real professional musician. Even if it's a gimmick at least I get feedback from a pro for free! Finding him again years later was so weird that I felt compelled to reach out.
I was so nervous (let's be honest so would have you) minutes leading up to our Video meeting. You know because I knew he would eventually ask me play something. How ridiculous now when I look back. Ulrich is one of the most chill dudes I've ever met.
He could tell from my playing and our conversation I wasn't as far from my goals as I once thought I was; I needed structure-feedback-tools to help me develop.
Our time went way over because he was showing me a few things. I thought that was very professional and just a good human being to spend the time.
I'm in month three now and already I've changed how I look at the guitar now. I can see the patterns of repetition up and down the fretboard. And I honestly can say I know the fretboard in its entirety (can find any note within 1-2 seconds anywhere) which is something that seemed near impossible before.
I've used previous online programs and let me tell you TGT Academy is in a league of its own. Where can you find a program where you interact with other students just like in school, or a program where the actual guy is teaching you live for 4hrs a week.
You can see why I chose TGT Academy. In order to be the best you must surround yourself with the best. And I challenge anyone to test this guys skills. LEGIT!
Maybe I'll see you on the other side.

THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE
I played guitar for many years but I never got to say I play guitar. Now with Ulrich's support and guidance I have managed to raise the quality of my playing and my musical knowledge. This decision I made to start at TOTAL GUITAR TRANSFORMATION ACADEMY was the best decision I made in my life. Ulrich is not only an amazing musician. The most important thing is that he is an amazing teacher. The workshops are very well organized and the courses complete. The support and help I get from this man is rare to encounter in student - teacher relationships. To anyone who reads this text I have to say that they do not need second thoughts to join the TGT. It's worth every single penny. I never thought I was paying, I thought I was investing in myself, having the best coach next to me. And this is Ulrich. Join TGT now.

You are worth the investment
I really thought I was a good intermediate player, but lacked a lot of the fundamentals. TGT had brought me right back to the basics and relentlessly forces you to transform hour playing. Ulrich has the tight balance of encouraging you to love forward, with the discipline to not let you get a “complete” without getting it right. I really went back and forth on the decision to spend this amount of money on a remote class, but I must say I do not regret it one bit. I am 6 months in and really notice how much better I sound thanks to TGT.

TGT Academy great place to learn
I’m pretty much a self taught player who was just stuck in a box with all the information I had gathered. I knew there was more to it than that. Ulrich says that he is on a mission to help players get out of that box. I can honestly say that I believe that it’s in his heart to do exactly that! Building anything starts at the foundation. That’s what TGT Academy offers. Strong foundations, clarity and structure. Students come from all walks of life, and from all over the world. Every Tuesday we all get together for our weekly session. This is very valuable. Through questions and discussion things come to light, or Ulrich may create a bonus lesson out of a discussion. So the academy doesn’t just grow with new students, but also grows with new information and lessons. So if you’re stuck in that box, or want to look at your fretboard in a whole different way. I would recommend TGT Academy! I can’t think of any other guitar programs out there that would give you the one on one guidance that Ulrich gives. Ulrich is an excellent instructor and musician, and a most excellent person! It’s a never ending journey my friends, so why not get off on the right note! Cal Frazier
