Total Guitar Transformation
Total Guitar Transformation, well 23 weeks later my playing has totally transformed for the better. My goals setting out were to be more disciplined in my practice routines, to make my playing more accessible to a wider audience e.g. more bluesy and rock orientated than hard metal, and be more in touch with the music inside me. I'm not where I want to be but I sure am on the right road and moving down it at quite a pace.
Ulrich is a fantastic musician, well versed in a multitude of styles and techniques and having access to him at the weekly lessons and 24/7 through the messages and video feedback means that you are constantly getting his eye on your playing and expert coaching.
The community that he has created is incredibly supportive and also a lot of fun to be part of. It is so encouraging to see other people who love the same things as you, growing, improving, sharing each others successes and supporting each other through the harder tasks.
The course is very well structured with practice schedules and videos to back up every lesson. The content is jam packed and being constantly updated and added to. Miguel checks in with you regularly and is on hand to help with any technical or IT issues that you may have, which for me was invaluable when first starting out.
The decision to sign up to TGT for me wasn't entirely financial. I had a desire to get better on my instrument. I could have carried on teaching myself at the pace I was going, or I could get serious, committed and make an investment in my playing and my dream to be better. Ulrich had already been very supportive during our chats and now, nearly halfway through my first year I am so happy that I took the chance and decided to invest my money with TGT. Ulrich's personality, teaching style, course structure and community have made it a joy to be part of.
5 Stars for the Total Guitar Transformation Academy. I pretty much had a good feeling from the start that this was a good choice to make in my quest to improve my guitar playing. Meeting Ulrich in an introductory interview he showed me how to play at a different level - a level I am still aspiring to and trying to achieve but now with a solid practice plan, direction, goals, and instruction. I thought I was an intermediate/advanced player when I started but I'm surely getting more advanced now in just 6 months. I finished Basic Training in about 2 months and already felt like I could play more freely across the fretboard because of the introduction to Hendrix chordal riffing and triad pairs and modes! I very highly recommend taking on the TGT Academy and meeting Ulrich if you want to make noticeable improvements to your improvisational skills and making music in general. He won't tell you that it will be easy and you will need to practice a lot but you will experience results!!

Guitar journey
I’m very happy to be a part of TGT academy Ulrich Ellison is the best guitar teacher I have ever seen now I learn slower than some but I do pick up on some things more rapidly I finally learned all 5 positions in the key of A I know that there are only 12 notes in music I learned that in music theory I was a little confused at first because I only counted 7 but then remembered there are the sharps and flats also I’m working on D minor pentatonic now I do know that all the shapes are the same but because I know from naming the notes on the low E I can find any key and I have already position 1 memorized so I just need to memorize other 4 positions in the other 11 keys I’m so very excited and hungry to make my guitar 🎸 very musical I would like to say ulrich you give me such great inspiration how ever long it takes me my guitar journey will reach new heights please everyone don’t give up on it let’s always be positive for everyone in the rock/blues and the inner circle keep rockin

The Best Instructional Site Available
The courses are set up for making a good or even a beginner with some basics become a great guitarist. It does as the name implies, Total Guitar Transformation.
Being based on the music of Jimi Hendrix sounds intense, BUT the way Ulrich, and the other instructors, and students share their own experiences makes you feel like "hey, I can do that too".
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years now, starting as a self taught teenager. Stopped for some years due to the normal life's distractions... :-) When I started again some years ago, I felt stuck in my learning. Always the same licks, no progression. I've been trying several online learning classes and youtube lessons, but got lost most of the time. Ulrich gave me the right structure, tools and taks, to make leaps in my playing. His reviews and hints in my work are motivating but honest :-) In one year TGT I learned more that in the decades before. Best money invested for me!

No regrets - rewards for effort
I have been with Ulrich for maybe 4 weeks now and what has struck me most about his TGT Academy is his commitment to and connection with his students, and the support and camaraderie from the TGT Community. There is now tricks, shortcuts or ‘magic solutions’ offered but what there is is a solid course offering all the foundations to becoming a better guitarist for those who are willing to make the effort. I’m glad I joined. No regrets whatsoever

Total Guitar Transformation has been and continues to be a great source of education and inspiration! Ulrich Ellison is a caring, passionate teacher and has created great place to see, touch and feel musical inspiration. His own accomplishments are many and his ability to inject his passion into his students progress is without equal. I've had some personal setbacks that have slowed my growth but I have made significant progress since joining TGT and fully intend to gain much more. I've tried other lessons, in-person and online, but never had a teacher like Ulrich! Even though my growth has been hampered a bit by my own issues I have had Ulrich's full attention whenever needed. One of my biggest personal gains is how much I understand now about so many things related to, guitar in specific, and music in general. I learned things I didn't know I needed to learn and I'm looking forward to learning a whole lot more! I'm definitely a better guitar player now than I was when I started but I'm looking forward to the guitar player I am likely to become if I follow Ulrich's guidance. You will not regret becoming a TGT member!!

I joined TGT in April 2023. Despite the fear, this could be „just another online Programm“, Ulrich beeing the humble and caring person he is, is giving advanced guitar players not only a place where they can grow, but where they feel home.
Weekly live sessions where questions get a direct answer and even if you need help, every mail gets almost instand reply.
Besides you join a super menthal and awesome community via Facebook that you are in contact with every day. I made many friends for a lifelong guitar journey. The sky ist the limit. Ofc, you need to put a lot of work into this. You get out of it what you put in. Don’t expect wonders. Ulrich teaches you how to learn and grow as a musician.

I've been playing the guitar since the time we waited anxiously for the latest Guitar Player Magazine so we could get some tabs, or when people used to slow down vinil, or even sell a tape deck player with low speed so one could figure out that EVH solo. Well, that was a bliss because we did not have elsewhere to look for instruction. Nowadays, we are bombarded every second by 3s youtube videos that teaches you anything from hybrid picking to any scale you want. The end result: you get lost and there's no structure in the learning process. There's no feedback. There's noise. You may even become a master of tricks, but never really get "music". There used to be a time when guitar players hung out to just exchange ideas, while listening to some music and commenting. Well, TGT is a modern version of that, with Ulrich as the conductor, and a bunch of cool, motivated, knowledgeable guitar players that ask all sorts of questions twice every Tuesday. The question you forgot to ask? Someone may ask for you. But the key thing is the question you never thought about asking. Those are the ones that as a team we learn more effectively. We record our videos and post, and get almost instant feedback from Ulrich and our guitar mates. 6 months into the program my playing and judgment on what is worth studying and getting in depth perspective have completely changed. I really love the program, and I am only limited in my time to get more from it. In an era where no one has time, those two hours a week make up for everything guitar you wanted to know. Ulrich *knows*. And he is not only talented, but versatile and answers stuff on the spot, from Bossa Nova to Metallica. If I would join the program again? Of course. I am now learning how to play the guitar. One last thing - I used to believe gear was important. To a certain extent I still believe that. Yet, I am discovering something odd as I am 6 months into TGT... I change the guitar, amp, pedals, and I get the same sound. I believe this is when you actually start to understand guitar, when it all sounds the same (goodbye GAS), and you get the sound from your fingers. That's your sound.

I joined Ulrichs TGT Academy July 8th…
I joined Ulrichs TGT Academy July 8th this year.. So not that long ago I guess.. I joined TGT because I was stuck in many ways... In spite of me playing already for 47 years I felt limited in my (mainly solo) playing and was on the lookout for serious help.. Now, not going to repeat the needle and haystack story from Deej (which is absolutely true) but I did find this gem... In a period of not even three weeks my approach started changing and my playing started to improve... All thanks to Ulrich and the way his lessons are setup... My advice.. are you stuck in your playing? subscribe to TGT you will be surprised how efficient and effective but most of all, fun this is! Hope to see you soon!!

Its been almost 4 months now that I joined Ulrichs TGT. The main reason for joining was that I was tired of noodling around and getting nowhere with my guitar playing. And searching youtube for good courses was not the best solution either.
Then I met Ulrich and his TGT program.
We did a one to one talk on Zoom and he inspired me to join TGT.
After my first week in TGT I was already amazed of my progress. How the daily practice plan sets everything in motion.
Not only is TGT a fantastic program, Ulrich is a great coach, does weekly meetings where you can ask questions on different topics and keeps you going.
Now after 4 months I finished Basic Training and when I look back it was fun all the way and the best is yet to come !!

Needle in a Haystack
I’ve studied with a handful of in-person guitar instructors and utilized several online programs and YouTube videos with minimal success. Finding a good instructor and approachable material is like finding a needle in a haystack. Well, I can now say that I’ve found that needle in a haystack, and his name is Ulrich Ellison! The TGT program is transformative!
The TGT program is a well organized, effective, and fun approach to learning the guitar; for intermediate players. Ulrich is a great player and a top notch teacher. Plus his teaching programm is well rounded for any aspiring guitarist. I'm his student since a year now and i've been non stop progressing in my guitar playing and my overall music knowledge.
