My very picky Maltipoo gobbles it down every meal. She has been through almost three bags now, two beef flavored and one chicken. She’s a rescue so about eleven years old. I am so relieved to have her eating this way. Thank you.
My 10 yr. old Cheyenne (Aust. Shep) has had extreme itch problems since birth..............being on the Ultimate has calmed the itch a wee bit, but we have not been on it for long. So hopeful it will only get better. One problem is the cat also likes it and for the first couple of days I got my giggles watching the "paw control" and then the paw patrol had to step in. My big problem is I just can't afford the amount I need to make that his only food. I have to supliment.
Its been 10 days since I ordered and my dog and I are still waiting. Your company did not waste any time in taking out payment for product. The delivery system you have completely stinks.

My dogs love this food! We use it as a topper on their regular food and our 90 lb Shepherd/Rottie/Huskie mix won’t touch his food until his Ultimate Pet Nutrition food has been added to the bowl. Our Teacup Chihuahua will pick out all the Ultimate Pet Nutrition food first.
Both my dogs liked it at first, but then one of them refused to eat it. Bummer because it seems to be really healthy for them, but they need to eat the same food. It was worth a try.
Hello, my name is Shayne. I am with Ultimate Pet Nutrition. I’m sorry to hear that your pup lost its interest in our formula. Other pet owners in a similar situation have seen success with mixing in their pet's favorite treats and a little bit of chicken broth. While many of our customers pets enjoy our formulas, we do understand that not every pet will love it. For this reason, we stand by our 90 day money back guarantee. If you find our formula is not a good fit, it can be returned for a full refund. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. You may email me at [email protected]. Have a nice day.
My only concern is how much to feed. The package says to feed a 20 lb dog, 2 cups per day. Based on other freeze dried food I have tried, that is too much for her. I started with that and she is gaining weight. So I am reducing the amount to 1 cup per day. The stated calories are too high. She should have 225 calories per day, not over 500.
My pups love it but I am a senior and it is very expensive. Might not be able to do it long term.
I love the quality of the ingredients used, I love how my dogs go crazy for it, I love how fast it gets shipped and delivered, I loved the sales they have. This product helps me so much. I tend to home cook my dogs meals but I also use this as a topper and when I don’t have time I hydrate it with a bit of warm broth. I use this for training treats and enrichment. This is such a multi use product which became a staple in my household.
The girls love the beef & chicken flavors. What concerns me is that I’ve been giving them the recommended amount of food based on the package chart, per their weight, but they are gaining weight. Not sure what the next steps should be.
My 4 dogs LOVE it. But its price for how much you feed is out of most people’s price range. I use it as an add in to dry food because I have very large dogs and can’t afford to feed just this
I never received any orders yet. Can’t leave a review yet

Ernie really loves the chicken. He will eat the beef but not a big fan. Guess we’ll have to stay with the chicken.
She's a golden retriever. She loves food.
Delivery is really terrible. The food takes far too long to arrive. On top of that, today, my order that I’ve already waiting a week for, was sent to the wrong address! The CS rep was terrific, but I have to wait another seven business days for the product. That kind of order-to-delivery time is enough to make me reconsider staying with the company. It’s a serious issue in today’s Chewy/Amazon next-day-delivery world. I hope you consider this.
Our puppies love it after we soak it for 2-3 minutes in warm water. They have been pretty picky as we’ve gone through fresh foods, frozen foods, and “canned” foods. We finally settled on Ultimate and they love it.
Our 9 1/2 year old Golden Retriever loves the food! She only gets it in the morning but she can’t wait for the food in her dish.
I read all the reviews about Ultimate Pet Nutrition and decided to buy it for my "grand"dog since she is a fussy eater and often had diarrhea. WOW, what a difference this food made. She now eats every drop of her food and has normal solid poops. I am very impressed with this food. She is only 2 so it is hard to tell if it helps her be more energetic like some reviews said.
Before I go any further, please note that the critique below applies specifically to the NUTRA COMPLETE BEEF RECIPE. If you happen to read the Ingredient List on the package, you will notice it doesn’t mention any calcium supplement (in contrast to most other dog food brands, which include supplements such as “calcium carbonate, calcium citrate, di- or tricalcium phosphate, seaweed calcium, or bone meal among their ingredients). Nutra Beef Recipe lists the following main ingredients: Beef, Beef Liver, Beef Kidney – and then it goes on to list many other nutritional and vitamin supplements, none of which however is a significant source of calcium. Beef itself has a very low calcium content, and the same is true for beef organs. In contrast, beef bone meal (ground beef bone) is an excellent source of calcium, and wolves in the wild do in fact get their calcium intake by consuming carcass bones. Therefore, dog foods that include bone meal are considered adequate sources of calcium. However, the Nutra Complete Beef Recipe doesn't mention beef bone meal among its ingredients. Moreover, the Guaranteed Analysis on the package doesn’t specify any minimum Calcium or Phosphorus percentages. The way things stand, Buyers are left completely in the dark regarding the calcium content of this food. And if the formula doesn’t contain an adequate amount of calcium and is being used as a principal source of food, this could result in a disastrous calcium deficiency (and calcium/phosphate imbalance) for your dog. I started looking into this matter as my dog began to show signs of fatigue and muscle twitching after about 2 months of eating Nutra Complete Beef as his main source of food. After switching to a different food formula (which did have a calcium supplement), the above symptoms disappeared. I contacted Ultimate Pet Nutrition Support regarding the Calcium content in their Beef Recipe, but my questions were met with a snide and condescending attitude, and practically no concrete answer (in essence, ‘We don’t disclose the formulation details of our products. please let us know if you need assistance with anything else.”) I subsequently managed to locate the owner of the company Dr. Gary Richter, DVM on the web, and addressed the question to him directly via the Chat feature on his website. Dr. Richter replied to my question stating that calcium supplements were not necessary in the above-mentioned food, since beef itself provided the necessary calcium amount, and that all Nutra foods were reviewed by a nutritionist for adequate composition. I was appreciative to at least get an answer to the point of my question, but again, as already stated above, beef itself (in the absence of beef bone meal) supplies a very low amount of calcium. I know this as I myself am a physician and have worked in the Nutrition and Weight Management domain. Therefore, my concerns about the Beef Recipe persisted, and I stopped feeding my dog this formula as his principal food source. Instead, I switched him to the Chicken Recipe (which does have calcium carbonate mentioned among its ingredients). I stuck with Nutra food since my dog really enjoys eating it, he loves the taste. In any case, a few months passed by, and my dog was doing fine on the Nutra Chicken. Then as I was out of town, the bag ran out and my husband temporarily switched to on old Nutra Beef leftover. When I returned home 2 weeks later, I found my dog once again twitching and low on energy. At this point, I decided to post this review of Nutra Complete Beef Recipe, in order to warn other users of the potential hazard. To do Nutra Complete justice, I must mention that most of their other flavors (i.e., Chicken, Turkey, Pork, Duck) do in fact mention some type of calcium supplement in their ingredient list, and seem to be overall good quality products, for which I would probably give a 3-4 star review. As far as their guaranteed analysis, however, none of the Nutra dog foods specify their calcium and phosporus percentages, or any other mineral percentages. I just wanted to share the above, because it's good to have one's eyes open as to potential risks. Hoping other dog parents find it helpful.
