The August 2023 installation absolutely deserves 5 stars. Even my contractor husband was impressed. Then the ball was dropped like a hot potato! 5 months after install the local power company sent them an email detailing the paperwork they needed to hook up my unit. No response. It was good to see a January 2024 response to a review because we were having a hard time even finding the company online. So....they are still there just not answering ANY of my calls. Even my certified letter was returned. We don't want revenge, only a functioning solar system. You can keep the tax refund that the company was going to file in my name. Please, let us finish what we'all started.

Don't make a mistake and go with this company! Revolution Solar started installing my solar panel system December of 2022 and as of today, March 21, 2024 the system is still not finished and functional. The State of Iowa inspector has denied their electrical installation at least 5 times if not more, and at this time, supposedly all that is required to finish the electrical to pass is to install one new breaker in my fuse panel, that they installed incorrectly. I've been waiting for them to return to finish the breaker installation since January of this year. But now I can't get anyone to answer their phones. I've tried every phone number I have, from customer service to the territory manager, and even one of the electricians. I don't know if they're closed or what? In the meantime I continue to make my monthly payments on the non-functional solar system, those payments began when they started the installation, and of course if I stop paying I'll get taken to court by the finance company, who claim they have no leverage to do anything concerning Revolution Solars installation whatsoever.

All the Red Flags
As many have experienced with Revolution Solar, the initial process of answering questions and ordering panels was excellent. The initial install also appeared to go well. Until we wanted to turn the panels on and connect with the energy company. Now it has been over 6 months of issues, our panels are not functioning, we are unable to actually speak with anyone from Revolution Solar, the company website took down their online application for new customers and removed their phone number from their main page. If you have been contacted by a sales person and given an offer that sounds too good to be true, it definitely is, do not contract with this company.
I am very disappointed with the whole process. This whole issue started in July of 2023 and I still cannot use my solar panels. I was promised a $1500 bonus. It took until the end of October to even get them installed and still cannot use them. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for over a month and a half and only had two response only when I say I will get a hold of a lawyer. Again this process has been a bad experience.
Salesman was not completely honest about the system, asked him about the cancelation form in the paperwork and he told us that part did not matter but then after checking into it and wanting to cancel we could not because we only had 3 days to do so, we did not get the better bigger panels he sold us on, once it was finally installed months later the company ghosted us and after 3 months had to hire another company to finish the system so it could be turned on and used
Unable to contact Revolution Solar regarding non payment of IL Shines.
We have been trying since Dec 2023 (for over 3 months) to contact our solar panel contractor, Revolution Solar, on every number or email we had on file, and every one we could find on the web with no answer, no call back, and no response.
We are trying to contact Revolution Solar concerning the status of the IL Shines rebate of $12,498.76 that they said would be sent to them, then forwarded on to us to apply to our loan with Enium. The loan was made through Revolution Solar/ Genysis CU with us. If I look on the IL Shines "Find My Project" tool, it says it is in Step 7: Contracting Utility Pays Approved Vendors for RECs. In our case, Revolution Solar is the Approved Vendor. We would like to receive this money, as promised by our contractor when installation was completed on April 24, 2023.
The loan payments will begin on April 24, 2024, and if we do not receive the IL Shines money by then, our interest rate and payments will increase substantially. Also we will be on the hook for $12,498.76 more than we agreed to pay. If IL Shines has distributed the funds, then who has them now? Revolution Solar?

If I could give them 0 stars I would! They talk all sweet and nice, get you to sign contracts, then BAM all communication is dropped! I’ve had solar on my house since November 2023, still not activated because they won’t finish their work, they won’t return phone calls or emails, NOTHING! They will rip you off buyer beware!!!

No communication. No service. No IRS registration #.
We are having extreme difficulty with USA Clean Energy/Revolution. Our project cost approximately $160,000. Our issues are almost identical to those of others mentioned on this site. Communication was wonderful at first.
The two installations were completed in 2 days in May 2023. Unfortunately, they did not pass inspection on multiple occasions. It took until Jan 2024 for inspections to be passed. Our system is supposedly connected to ComEd, but we are still paying both ComEd and the loan companies.
They reimbursed for several months of loan payments which was great. The problem is that the system still does not seem to be working and USA Clean Energy/Revolution stopped communicating completely at the beginning of January 2024.
I've made numerous phone calls and sent at least 7 email messages since January 5,2024 asking for assistance with:
1. Documentation for our tax credit. Apparently we need an IRS Registration number. If we do not get this tax credit our payments and interest rates will rise substantially. The price they quoted us along with the promised tax credit were the primary reasons that we decided to go solar.
2. Assistance understanding why the system has not been working even though it is approved through ComEd.
3. Confirmation that the paperwork for the warranty has been registered.
4. Assistance accessing the app/site to verify useage.
5. Refunds for continued double payments.
No one has replied. No one is answering our calls.
I fear a class action may be necessary given the many other issues mentioned on this site.

They don't care at all after the sale.
Communication through installation was top notch. Utility inspection completed the end of January 2024. I called for 2 weeks to get an update. Only when I requested a quote for a new system was I finally able to get ahold of someone reaching out about the sales opportunity. I was connected with a David Manzo which only could tell me the system was activated after the utility inspection. After sending pictures of my circuit breakers and switches on was told engineering would look. Two weeks later no update. During that time I received another sales call and was put in touch with someone else to send that same pictures to to be reviewed by their monitoring team.
After a week of no real updates I am being told the the panels take about a month to be in full affect after they are turned on. That was Tuesday March 5th and I was told they were turned on at the end of January. Still ZERO production. I need someone to own this until resolution and things are working. The Fact i have to chase them down every step of the way since the beginning of Feb and still cannot get someone to fix it is absolutely absurd. So instead of referrals when people inquire I look like a fool that got scammed.
Whatever you do stay away from this company they are lairs and a deceitful company. They do not respond to phone calls or text messages. They tell you everything but the truth and promise, to fix or replace any broken or defective parts problems, all of which is not correct. well i have a problem, loose fittings and conduit where in the world are you crooks hiding. Come fix what you did wrong. The installation is sloppy, now the conduit from the disconnect has come loose and exposing wires. Taking my money and run. Time for a class action! 217-825-825-5625
Do not trust revolution solar! I use them to install a solar system on my home. Those are were delays, overall. The installation went well. The problem with this company occurred after the installation.
Following the installation, Revolution, solar told me they would be sending some placards for me to install on the solar equipment as directed. They further directed that I should take pictures of these placards on the equipment and send the pictures to a revolution solar agent. The placards came, I took the pictures after placing the placards as directed. . According to Revolution solar, this was all that needed to be done for my utility to approve the solar system so that I could turn it on. After a few weeks, the utilities still had not approved the system. I was told I was lacking a placard. Revolution solar did send out a person to place this placard they said I was missing. I took a picture again and again. I sent the pictures too. Revolution solar. Still, the utility did not approve the system so that I could turn it on. I called Revolution solar again and they told me I still was missing some placards. They told me they would send new placards as soon as possible. About 3 weeks later, more placards arrived. These placards were identical to the placards I already had placed and photographed and sent to Revolution solar. Nevertheless, I put up the new placards right beside where the same placard previous place had been. Again, I took pictures and sent the pictures to . Revolution solar. Still, per Revolution Solar, the utility had not authorize me to turn on my solar system. I contacted Revolution solar again. They stated that they would find out what the problem was and that they also would make my first two installments on the financing for the solar system that had begun. On one phone call, a revolution solar representative told me that the reimbursement for these two installments had been sent to their finance department to send to me. This never occurred. I continue to contact Revolution solar to see why the utility still had not approved the solar system. My utility company sent me a document stating that they needed more information. I contacted Revolution solar who stated that they would take care of providing this this additional information. I continued to contact a representative of revolution solar regarding my not being able to turn on my solar system. Finally, after weeks/ months of contacting Revolution solar regarding me being able to turn on my solar system, I received notification from Revolution solar that the utility had approved the system and that I would be able to turn it on. I contacted a representative from Revolution solar regarding how to turn the system on. Their representative directed me to pull a switch on the installed equipment. This I did. I believed the system was working. However, when I got a very high utility bill, I checked an app on my phone. Phone. This app showed that the solar system had been operational for a brief time in November 2023. This time was before I had even received authorization from the utility to turn the system on. No kw appeared to be generated by my solar system. Very concerned as my solar system supposedly has been operational for more than 2 months, I attempted to contact Revolution solar. Despite calling multiple times and at various times of the day, despite leaving numerous messages on several different numbers I have for Revolution solar, I have been unable to reach anyone. Anyone. Further, no one from Revolution solar has contacted me. I saw on other reviews of this company that the same has occurred to other people. Because my utility is aware that I have a solar system, I no longer am eligible for budget billing. Therefore, rather than having a solar system reducing my monthly expenditures, my expenditures have more than doubled. I am a 75-year-old woman living only on retirement income and I no longer know how I can afford to pay these much higher utility bills plus the installments for my solar system. Due to revolution solar long delay and getting my system operational, due to revolutions solars failure to reimburse my first two installments as they said they would, due to revolution solar not returning my calls regarding the operational status of my system, I have found this company to be little better than a scam. I believe wholeheartedly in the benefit of solar. But, I believe this company took advantage of my desire to do something to help the environment in order to profit at my expense, providing no service and providing no warranty or assistance with their system. I only hope that my experience might help someone else who is considering purchasing a solar system through revolution solar..

Research Before Using Revolution Solar - Nightmare
I am having a nightmare of an experience with Revolution Solar and has left me with more dissatisfaction and disappointment. Sales team was good at their job with baking people in. They do not mention how to go about getting the ComEd Rebate or how to get the incentives which was a big selling point. They do NOT mention that the ComEd Rebate will effect your billing. So you are excited to receive the rebate but they fail to mention that it will cost you your metering credits. Call ComEd Green Power Connection Team before you get the rebate and BEFORE signing with Revolution Solar. It may show that not taking the rebate has long-term financial benefits as your supply credit goes to zero if you take the ComEd Rebate.
Our Project Specialist, Kelvin, has gone unresponsive. His voicemail says to text him and he hasn't responded via text in months. During this process, they didn't have the contracted model of panels so they increased the number to offset the difference. They installed them and haven't sent over the documentation which is important to have to get the ComEd Rebate (if I even decide to take the Rebate).
The install was a nightmare - Not only did we not receive the contracted panels but once they installed the panels, wires hanging down which pushed the approval for the inspection for months. We couldn't get their install team back out for a few months, we finally were able to get the go-ahead from the city. Completion then took another month and a half. They really should have made it clear that it may take longer than the estimated time given. (Shout out to Rodney after install. He was incredibly helpful and is the only person that delivers.)
During install, the modem to monitor the panels through the app, didn't work. That prevented us from having Revolution Solar from organizing the panels in the app for us. I cannot get someone to call me back for that either. There are so many promises given that are not being followed up on. If you want to go solar - do your research. It's great that they were used for large corporations such as Cubs and Bears but for the regular folks that want to save money, this was a big mistake and I am thoroughly disappointed.
Super great to work with at first. I had frequent emails from the start and the system was installed in November 2023. Not a lot of communication since then. One crew installed the brackets another crew installed the panels. The panel installers said that something wasn’t hooked up correctly and 4 of my panels were not connecting or responding. I was assured someone would come back and take down all the panels and put them. Back correctly. Communication since then has been sporadic. Last communication was in January and the gal said they were waiting on the inspection and that a crew would come earlier on the day the inspector came. My payments for my system started 2/20/2024 and I can’t get ahold of anyone. Last week I received the infamous’have you thought of going solar- how about we set up a call to discuss how you can go solar for no money out of pocket’ I thought what the heck - I’ll bite and maybe it is the same outfit peddling solar. I get transferred to a super nice gal who says- my notes show you already signed a contract for solar- do you remember doing that in October 2023. Well yes ma’am I sure do- but my system doesn’t work and I can’t get ahold of anyone. She assured me she would have someone reach out in 24-48 hrs. Whelp- I’ve received no contact. I just want to be able to use the system and have it work. I’ve filed a report with the BBB but don’t know what else to do. I’m paying 50k for this equipment to just cover my roof. Any suggestions three 1 nine 5 six zero five 9 four three.

IL Shines Rebate
Like others have posted, these guys will not send my IL Shines Rebate check even after months of follow-up. They know that their failure to do so will cost me thousands of dollars on top of what’s owed to me. Their only response was to tell me that an employee has been placed on admin leave and they were “looking into it.” Not exactly comforting.
Further, I learned that they hadn’t registered the warranty with the insurance company a year after installation, meaning I was sitting with an uninsured 40k system on my roof, unbeknownst to me.
They can professionally install a system but they have zero back end support, let alone the kind of white glove support one would expect from these expensive installations.
Avoid them. I’ll be reaching out to lawyers and the IL AG end of next week if they don’t fix it.

Poor customer support
I have tried and tried to get ahold of this company. I had solar panels installed. Electric ccmpany cannot get ahold of them either. I'm contacting the Attorney General of Iowa. Can't turn them on til they contact electric co. They told me it would be $17,000. It is $35,000.
But the problem is they don't answer any number or email. Can't turn them on until they contact electric company. Meanwhile I'm paying my electric bill and for the loan. Everything they say is lies!!!
After more than a year I am still waiting for the system to be operational. Repeated calls and texts have not gotten them to finalize. In the mean time I have not benefited from the installation and am paying for it.

DO NOT GET SWINDLED
Shady company. Have been paying on the system for 6 months and it is not able to run. They never answer the phone, return emails or texts. What do we have to do? File a collective lawsuit. Looking into a lawyer because it's getting to be spring and I'm going to be paying for all my electricity and a loan on the solar panels that I can't use. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. the number listed on this review site doesn't even work. They offer a 30 year warranty, probably because it takes 30 years to get ahold of anyone. What happens when I have a problem with the system?? Won't be able to file a claim or anything because they don't answer the phone or respond to emails. Going to the news if this isn't resolved soon. Good luck getting business around here after that.
We signed a contract for a rooftop solar installation on November 10, 2023. The company was supposed to start the project no later than December 25, 2023. They were unable to obtain a permit from Cook County and cancelled the permit application. We had paid a 50% downpayment on November 10, 2023. The company promised to send a refund, but we have not received a refund. They do not return phone calls, texts, or emails. If we do reach a person they say we need another department or person and someone will get back to us. No one ever gets back to us and it is now February 24, 2024.

Lack of communication, product isn't working either
My husband decided it was a good idea to get solar panels. I didn't have a chance to investigate the company. ALWAYS investigate. This company installed our panels, they didn't work, told him that they would issue a check for our first installment payment with a credit union in another state. That was supposed to happen at the beginning of last month. I wouldn't use the company. Their lack of communication and fulfilling their words of making things right is severely lacking. NOW, our device that communicates with the panels needs to be reset every couple of days. Run away from this company. I am done playing nice. If we invest in your company and believe in you, then be honest. BBB will be involved after I am done typing this up.
