recently joined the Verified Investing…
I joined the Verified Investing Apex day-trading service and found that the style of trading did not match my expectations. I was expecting more technical analysis, risk management discussion, and educational content. Compared to what im used to it felt more like gambling.
After only a few days, I contacted customer support and asked whether my membership could be transferred to the Crypto Smart Money service. I did not ask for a refund and was willing to forfeit the difference in price, but my request was denied.
I was disappointed because I felt a membership transfer would have been a reasonable compromise. I also raised my concerns in the live chat to Gareth but did not receive any response.
This was my personal experience, and I would encourage prospective customers to research the service carefully before subscribing.

I am compelled to issue a follow up…
I am compelled to issue a follow up review based on recent actions by this service. As the reviewer below correctly states, they have erased open losing trades from the site by parking them in a remote corner that even I couldn't find as a subscriber. These hidden open positions amount to many hundreds of thousands of dollars of open losses and thus make what they claim to be profits a falsehood. They claim they moved them to "enhance the member experience". This is a patronizing unserious comment on their part. They hid them because the losses are devastating. Pay attention to the one star reviews. These people are dangerous. They will try to say they can't find me as a subscriber, but I've provided Trust Pilot with proof of my subscription more than once, which is why they publish my reviews.

Heavy loses that are hidden
I have been subscribed to the Stocks and ETFs service since September 2025. Gareth seems like a great guy, but I think it’s important that i provide my honest opinion that give potential customers heads up. My experience matches some of the recent low star reviews below. In short, the service is not as effective as advertised and losses have been hidden.
In September 2025, I joined the service because of the impressive over 90% win record. However, once you become a member, you are able to see all open trades and there were over 10 trades opened as early as 2024 that were making heavy loses but not closed and therefore, no in the books as a loss or advertised. For example, a NVDA short in 2024 was still open. Each of these trades were about 100% loss each, and I’m being conservative. The reason I can’t remember is because as of recently, they’ve all been removed from VI’s books even though they were still open. I elaborate more below.
I understand it’s based on probability and therefore not all trades go the right way, but it gets worse. I followed the service into a couple of trades shorting the semis when they were flying and got wiped out because of the lack of risk management. VI do not use stops or give an indication of when to. I didn’t cut loses because I’m following experts, it got so bad that, for example, I was margin called out of the WDC short because I was at a 330% loss. Multiple times, I wanted to ask (not criticise) if there was a plan of action, but comments are disabled and there is no way to connect with the team. I watched the daily videos, but there were no mentions of the elephant in the room, and therefore I was stressed for months. Transparency would have kept me assured, but instead I was in the dark. When I mentioned my experience to a professional trader in my area, he was shocked.
Worst part and icing on the cake was that there was a recent update to the app, and all the trades that are pre-2026 that were stil open and making heavy loses, are ERASED. Like I mentioned, there were at least 10 trades making about a 100% loss each, which I’m unable to validate. Furthermore, there was no guidance of what to do with those holding these older trades with losses (including myself), although happy to be challenged with evidence if I missed this.
Below is a sample of a couple of personal loses that I experienced that VI had never closed but are now been wiped from their ecords. Disclaimer that the loss % is when I pulled out because I had no view of what the strategy was. Although still losing, I understand some of these have dropped since. I may have held on if there was transparency.
- WDC - short - 330% loss (margin called)
- STX - short - 60% loss
- LITE - short - 80% loss
- ZSL - short - 73% loss - and shortly after this loss, Ben closed the service that was leading this trade but fairness, he left a video of his recommendation of how to proceed.
- SOXL - cannot remember exactly but big loses in 2025.
In the 10 months I’ve been with the service, I’ve experience a net loss of $20k, which is large considering my largest single position trade was about $1200 (I’m learning and conservative).
In conclusion, It’s not the loses the upset me, it’s the lack of transparency. The list above are only my personal loses. Like I said, there were at least 10 more trades that were still open, some since 2024, and were loosing in the hundreds of %. I cannot trust this service and cannot support it any further. I’m removing my subscription regardless of how successful they are.
I notice that VI are consistent in replying to reviews. Very open to hear your side of the story.

Gareth is an amazing Trader. Gareth has a $1M cash day trading account that currently reflects a $900,000 open loss on an MU short position. Despite being down over $900,000, Gareth entered two additional positions at $1M each 6/6 on GOOGL and 6/6 on NFLX on June 22, 2026. Isn't that amazing?!?! Unfortunately Gareth realized a $12K loss on NFLX. But that is OK because a $12K loss is better than a $900K loss.

NOWHERE do they tell you that the figures are based on 5 traders, trading a 1 million dollar account each and that the figures shown on the website that says (ONLY if you read the TERMS of SERVICE is deep in there)
"STARTING ACCOUNT BALANCE: 1 MILLION" is a hypothetical account

will you read that the PROFITS of 559,231. (as of 16/7/26). Is a Hypothetical example of what a 1 million acount.
NOPE you are left to believe that they are trading from a SINGLE ACCOUNT that starts with 1 million and is UP 53% year to date.
NOWHERE on the site will you see that in the LIVE DAY TRADING room. They have OPEN TRADES that at certain points have been down as MUCH a 900K (micron short, TME long).

I am a home trader and only income for me is from trading. I saw some Gareth Soloway youtube videos and looked like he knows what he is talking about and I checked his perfect trading record on webpage and decided to subscribe for Swing Trade Alerts. As soon as I subscribed I saw real trading records with all holdings with big loss and never selling on stop loss. The biggest looser was NVIDIA. I quickly realize that this is the way how you will blow up you account and loose money. With such a terrible risk management sooner or later you will loose money. And when I try to leave comments on their social media platforms about my personal experience and pointing out obvious misleading information about position size, winners vs looser etc... They just delete my comments and block me that I can't comment anymore. They have terrible alerts and trading advises for traders. Stay away from them if you will follow 100% their trades and alerts you will definitely lose money sooner or later.

Gareth is a bit of too good to be true guy! He seemingly comes with deep professional investing and trading experience. However, what sets him apart is his crystal clear genuineness to guide and mentor viewers in a very relatable manner.

The worst decision of my life.....
The worst decision of my life.....
To all whom read this, it may be long but worth the read. Joining verified investing has single handily been the worst financial decision I have ever made. I have been following this service since around 2020/2021 when this was called in the money stocks.
Since the time following this service, I have been 100% behind the moves Gareth has made until I started to realize how bad things are getting. The level of incompetence should have no other description aside from absolute career failure. There is no other way to describe it. His failure as a master trade to recognize risk and lead his follows should honestly be consider fraud and a scam artist. The fact he has been and is currently so off on market conditions should ruin all credibility for his career. The level of failure on these trades is gut wrenching and has blown up people's accounts across multiple services. Let alone all of his other "pro traders" have destroyed accounts as well. Such as Drews position in ZSL which was an absolute huge failure.
After 5-6 years of following this service, I have not only made 0$ in profit, but I am also down over 150K plus all the service feels and money wasted on useless courses he sells.
I have been reaching out to others on reddit for feedback and descriptions and everyone all says the same thing. That Gareth is a scam artist who doesn't understand risk management.
No leader in the industry with any brains would leave a service into such catastrophic failure. When Gareth fails, he just creates a new account and pretends like the last one does not exist. Well for us average Joe's this is all we got.
If you try and call into the service you will get zero help and even worse, no remorse from them, as they truly do not care about their subscribers and the damage they're doing.
I don't understand how they sleep at night knowing what they have done. To me there is no going back from this. The damage is far too great. You can only step away, cry at the failure and wealth destruction, pick yourself up and start over.
To whomever may consider signing up for this I truly hope you never do, I truly hope you save everyone and anyone from the monstrous service.

This is the end for me
This is the end for me. After hours of thinking about this and years of hope in this service. I'm tossing in the towel and liquidating my positions.
I have now lost over 150k from this service and have a 25k margin call.
This service has done nothing but destroy wealth. The only clown is myself for following this and thinking this was better than wall street bets or Jim cramer fast money
How can you blame the con artist when were the ones who followed them. When VI hides stock performances, takes down services, ignores your customer service calls, whose fault is that? Its your own for staying with it. I have been here for 5+ years so this is on me.
This will go down as the greatest regret in life so far.
I call the service and they don't care nor do they want to help. The 2025 portfolio per AI if it had 100k to start would be down unrealized loss of -164k so down 164%.
This service absolutely wreck me and I am going to try and salvage the remain pennies i have left
The only joke is on myself but it doesn't matter if this market collapses because this should go down as career defining failure for gareth but it won't. He will hide these comments in order to lure in others
End of the day, this ruined me and I have to just limp away and start over. I no longer want to swing trade and think I'll just do basic saving and investing because I don't want to end up in another service like this.

I have liked Gareth and his products…
I have liked Gareth and his products for years, but I have evidence that he is blocking negative comments on YouTube and his services. He is not transparent and doesn’t close many losing position (that helps it stats look good). He just quits tracking losers and eventually they disappear with a new calendar year. His stock service is down over 40% YTD and he has over -$400,000 in leverage.
I’m responsible for following him, but he misled me. I wish someone would have warned me. It’s difficult since he blocks, obfuscates, and abandons information that isn’t positive of his services.
Response to verified investing: Most of that you replied is totally untrue. The more I learn about Verified Investing, the more unethical business practices I see. Your company totally filters negative comments online and is not transparent with losing positions.
Your company should be investigated by the better business bureau and a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of all the members who were lured in by false claims.

Verified Investing does not hide or abandon losing positions. Open trades remain visible to members and continue to be monitored and discussed by our Pro Traders until they are ultimately closed. Trading involves both winning and losing positions, and no trader or strategy will be successful 100% of the time.
We also reject the suggestion that our reporting is designed to obscure performance. Our members continue to have access to open and closed positions, as well as continuous technical analysis and insight into the market from our team. Any evaluation of performance should take into account the full body of trading activity rather than focusing solely on select positions or snapshots in time.
Regarding comments and feedback, we welcome constructive discussion and differing market opinions. We do not remove comments simply because they are critical or express disagreement with a trade or market outlook. However, comments that violate platform guidelines, including spam, promotional content, harassment, or abusive behavior, may be moderated to maintain a productive environment for all members.
Finally, Verified Investing is an educational service, not a managed account. Every member is responsible for their own trading decisions, position sizing, and risk management based on their individual financial circumstances and objectives.

Dishonest and incompetent
The dishonesty is what upsets me most. Yes, like many others, I lost a huge amount of money on the worst stock call of the decade - shorting semiconductors during a historic rally - but that's not even what led me to write a review. I knew the risks and I made the trade anyway. I figured everyone make a bad call sometimes, and I was going to take my loss and move on.. but the the auto-renewal email showed up, and what happened next really opened my eyes.
I was not aware they were going to try and charge me again, and within an hour of receiving it I replied and informed them I had not intended to renew and to please cancel and refund me. I have received refunds from large, faceless corporations several times in this situation, without any hassle. Why? Because they know I might come back someday and they care about maintaining a good relationship. I figured Gareth cares about his customers, not to mention he will probably take pity on someone who just lost 1/3 of his portfolio on his terrible call.. but NOPE! They arrogantly refused to refund, citing terms and conditions no less.
Now let's think about this. If Gareth is such a successful trader, why is he so desperate for that $400 subscription fee that he will burn a bridge with a customer like that? Because that's how he REALLY makes his money, that's why. And because that's how you act when you know you don't really have a valuable, sustainable service, and you need to squeeze every last dollar you can before the music stops.
This caused me to look into it more and find that Gareth is not really a successful trader, he is just faking it til he makes it while making his real money selling "advice". He loses people money on one of these subscription programs and then cancels it, only to start another one just like it in order to wipe the slate clean and start over, luring in unsuspecting traders who don't know his history.
Everyone makes a bad call sometimes, but being dishonest about your performance makes you a scammer. Even if this guy were a good trader, do you really want to do business with someone who has such ruthless contempt for his own paying customers? I don't. Stay far away.

While some positions have faced challenges in recent market conditions, this is a normal part of trading and our team has also navigated numerous profitable trades and opportunities throughout the year.

Luckily I stopped mirroring Gareth's trades pretty quickly, upon realizing how flawed his approach has become. But I kept watching his portfolio in horror. He is a contrarian swing trader, going heavily against the grain (lots of shorting things that are breaking out, with no stops). The trouble is he cannot accept when he's wrong and will double and triple down on losing positions.
He recently took a $300k loss on SOXS in a million dollar account. So he blew a third of his account by holding a 3x leveraged contrarian play against the hottest sector of the year. He still has a SOXL short also (why short SOXL? Odd amateur move when you could go long on SOXS) that is down 61%, $-106,000 as of today (6/3/26). So it will be over $400k he's lost shorting the semis, if he were to also cover this short today.
He also heavily goes long on things that are dying, with no clear stops, and just doubles and triples down as the knives fall more.
Even a mid-level trader should know that 3x leveraged (especially inverse ones) should never be held long term for huge losses. These are VERY short term tools that should have tight stops. They also decay. Look at a long-term chart of things like SQQQ, SOXS, etc. They are not long-term investments.
I assume he's had some success in past years by simply doing the opposite of the market and then waiting for turnarounds. Hopefully he has learned from this year's disaster and won't blow up more people's accounts alongside his in the future. If there is a business left after this year.
I can only imagine how upset someone would be if they had a big account too and had just been mirroring him. Thank God I caught on quickly and just pivoted to watching this train wreck unfold.
They say great traders "don't predict, they react". Gareth does the opposite. Predicts, stubbornly holds to his predictions, and has no idea how to react properly to losses.
Gareth's current live open portfolio is in the red $-445,990 more right now (6/3/26) on top of the huge SOXS loss already taken.
Now let's wait and see Verified Investing respond to this saying they somehow "respectfully disagree" with the cold hard facts here.

Gareth's approach has always been rooted in technical analysis and identifying high probability setups. While some positions can experience drawdowns before ultimately working and playing out, others may not work at all. That is the reality of trading.

Members are never required to mirror trades, and we consistently emphasize the important of position sizing and risk management when adapting any of the insight or trade ideas provided to one's own financial situation and risk tolerance.
No trader, strategy or methodology will be right in every market. While some positions may not perform as expected, evaluating a trading approach based solely on a specific period ignores the broader track record and many successful trades and market calls that have been made over the years.
