My account was pinged for a (thankfully blocked) $29.95 fee about 2 weeks after paying $1 for them to run a VIN check. TOTAL SCAM.

Charged me 30 dollars for a subscription I didnt sign up for and it was hidden in fine print scam company
Bogus report. I would rate the report 2/5 Worst part is $29 charge which they take within a week and no where do they mention. Their model works on using $1 as bait and getting $29 from you without your consent. Very wicked! I called them and i am damn sure they didn’t cancel. I will process it through my bank but yeah i refused to give my email just to check if they could pull up my account and they did without much info and even confirmed subscription was cancelled. lol.
Scammer. See google reviews pls. They auto charge you $29.95/month, after $1.
I signed on for Trial and cancelled. I'm a disabled Senior protected under N.C. G.S. § 14.112 from being financially exploited. I signed up for $1 Trial ONLY cancelling by email. I thought it was cancelled because it didn't show up on PayPal subscriptions. I found out via latest email he's been illegally charging me since Oct 2025 $29.95 each month for a service I cancelled and don't use. I was looking for current address for someone by their Vin. No. to serve a Protective Order. I want a full refund. He uses Bait & Switch tactics and has at least one alert with BBB after numerous complaints. I plan on legal action if he doesn't refund all my money. I'm in poor health and budget for everything. No way can I afford to waste money like this on a service I don't use. He's stolen $150 from a disabled senior.
Total scam they may get you some information about a vehicle but it will be very limited. Also they say it cost a $1 but then you will be hit with a reoccurring 29.95 fee. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. Contact the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.
Unauthorized charges. Over a year after a single purchase for $1, I get an unauthorized charge for $99.95. I did not agree to recurring charges. If they somehow hid that in the fine print, they made it near impossible to cancel.
I initially ordered a vin lookup for $1.00 in July 2025, but was just charged $29.95 a couple of days ago on a different card. This site is a complete scam. DO NOT USE IT
said it was $1 then sent an unauthorized charge for $29.95 to my card
How does this business get 4 outa 5 stars? I got charged a $1.00 to try them out for a VIN seek, they got the wrong info, so won't use them. Next week I get charged for a re-accruing subscription fee of $29.95 a month that I never ordered or wanted. In dispute right now.
I used vinseeker.com to check a VIN number that was advertised as a $1 report. A few days later I was charged $29.95 for a subscription that I did not knowingly authorize. The bigger problem started when I tried to cancel. I contacted their support multiple times and provided: • my transaction ID • the date and amount of the charge • screenshots of the payment Despite having the transaction details, the company repeatedly responded that they “cannot locate my account.” If they cannot locate the account that charged me, then there is no way for me to cancel or manage the subscription. Because of this situation I had to escalate the issue through: • a dispute with the payment processor • a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission • a complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs If you use this service, check your statements carefully after the $1 VIN search. If you are charged unexpectedly: • contact your payment provider immediately • file a dispute • report the issue to consumer protection agencies Consumers should not have to fight this hard just to cancel a charge.
Literally clicked on it because it said it was free but then locked that information behind a paywall. Just more useless garbage to have people click on it. Pathetic.
This is a total scam and very hard to get away from them and their 29.95 auto fee monthly. Have had to change credit card two times now. Never heard of this company let alone used it. Have had no need for any of their services.
Tried to charge me a $30 subscription fee without my knowledge. They did refund the payment because I saw it. I definitely would not recommend using this service to search a VIN.
Information on the vehicle where not right. Esp on known performance it listed the vehicle 0-60 as 4.xx. When in reality it is over 9 and one of the slowest in its class. Also it listed the mpg as 29 and in reality at best it is 24. Those are just the facts that I know are wrong. I'm wondering what else is off in the report. Not worth the $1 they charged for wrong info that is easily obtained.
I am a college student and was urgently trying to buy a reliable car for school. As many people know, Facebook Marketplace can be risky, and I wanted to protect myself from buying a defective vehicle. I searched for a VIN lookup service on Google and found VinSeeker. When I signed up, I genuinely believed I was paying $1 per VIN lookup. There was no clear indication to me that I was enrolling in a recurring subscription. A month later, I was charged $148.75 three separate times totaling $446.25. What’s worse: • Each VIN lookup using the SAME email address created a separate subscription. • I was not charged immediately. • Instead, charges were delayed and then posted all at once. • I received no clear warning or notification before being billed. • Customer support has not responded to my attempts to contact them. • My bank dispute was denied. As a college student, this amount of money significantly impacts my ability to pay for food and living expenses. I understand companies need to make money. But billing customers in a way that feels unclear, stacking subscriptions without obvious consent, and not responding to support requests is extremely concerning. I would strongly urge students and first-time car buyers to carefully review the fine print before using this service. I am still hoping VinSeeker will reach out and resolve this situation.
Be careful, they tried to charge me for a membership I've never had.
SCAM ALERT !!!!!! I used vinseeker one time as it was supposed to be a charge of $1. This was March 2025 and nothing other than $1 was taken out of my account, that is until Feb 2026 when vinseeker charge my account twice, once for $150 and again for $148.50. They waited almost 1 year. There was no known contract, etc. I urge you to stay away as this is a scam site and will rip you off, they did it to me, they did it to others and will do it to you. I will do whatever it takes to get my money back.
