I was dreading this experience but this format was fun and much less painful. Presenting different scenarios made it more relatable and served as a great refresher on what should be common knowledge. I work best at my own pace and this program allows you to tailor some settings to your speed.

Checks the box for California's driver's ed requirement
Aceable checks the box for California's requirement for driver's ed but it didn't prepare my daughter for the written exam to get her permit. Even though she did well on the Aceable practice exams this didn't translate to passing scores on the California permit test. The person at the DMV said this is a common problem with online courses and told her that she needs to study from the DMV pamphlet. The wording on the test matches the wording on the pamphlet which cleared up a lot of confusion for my daughter. The other issue I had was my daughter was automatically signed up for roadside assistance at $5 per month or $60 per year. I thought I canceled it when I signed her up, but I didn't notice the charges for 4 months, so $20 down the drain. Its scammy because we didn't even know we were signed up, and even if we did, we wouldn't know how to reach out to get a tow if we needed assistance. It was easy to cancel once I realized.

Hi Rene, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback—we appreciate you leaving a review. We’re glad to hear your daughter was able to get the roadside assistance issue resolved once it was identified. The roadside assistance option is presented during checkout as an optional add-on, and confirmation details are also sent to the email used for registration. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns regarding course preparation and will make sure your feedback is shared with our team for review. If you’d like to share any additional details, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
