Do not use this service. Their billing is extremely confusing on purpose and their customer service is less than helpful explaining the benefits of their service. My belief is that they are exploiting people that want to move over to a green energy solution. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Learn from my mistake and fun from this!
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding Arcadia. Their billing is so vague and confusing that it left me questioning what I was actually paying for. Instead of providing a clear, transparent breakdown of charges, the statements felt unnecessarily difficult to understand. The cancellation process was just as frustrating. It was far more complicated and drawn out than it should have been, making it feel like they were putting obstacles in the way of customers who wanted to leave. While I can’t say whether the company is actually a scam, the combination of confusing billing, poor transparency, and the difficult cancellation process made it feel sketchy and gave me the impression that something wasn’t right. No company handling your utility bills should leave customers feeling that way. I will never use Arcadia again and cannot recommend them to anyone. There are plenty of energy providers that are upfront about their billing and don’t make you fight to cancel. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
Amazing Helped me Save Money Be aware for bad reviews a lot of them are due to Bad sales reps not explaining the crediting right that's not on Arcadia I Love this Company and I've been saving
Earning rewards for helping the environment and lowering my energy cost amazing
Would give zero stars! Google says they are a legitimate company, I strongly disagree! They are still trying to make me pay on an account that is closed. BEWARE!!!!
This is a scam!! They took over our comed account then stopped paying the bill. We never got any notifications that our account was past due even though the Comes account was on MY email it was only getting sent to some crazy Arcadia email. I WAS $500 PAST DUE AND HAD NO IDEA!! This is Arcadia/Perchs shady business. DO NOT ANSWER THE DOOR FOR THESE SCAMMERS WITH THEIR LITTLE NAME TAGS!!!
Was recommended to this company by a friend of my wife, looked to be saving maybe 10-25 dollars a month for a few years. Ended up putting solar on our house and they have charged me hundreds of dollars on months I have no bill. I cancelled and they’ve charged me $500 for the past two months with no electric bill. I’m hoping to maybe break even over the three year period by the time they allow me out of their automatic withdrawals. This was not worth it at all.
I enrolled in this program when I moved into my first apartment after one of Arcadia’s representatives went door‑to‑door offering what sounded like a “too good to be true” discount on my energy bill. I was told I would pay Arcadia instead of my utility provider, and at the time, that convenience was a major selling point. For the first year, everything worked as promised — but that changed over the next three years. Arcadia’s system began showing that I wasn’t being charged for my energy usage, even though I was still paying my utility provider directly. Then, without warning, I received a large charge from Arcadia that didn’t make sense. When I reached out for help, it took an unreasonably long time to get a response. I explained the situation, and they assured me they would follow up with a resolution. They never contacted me again, and the unexplained charges continued to accumulate until they eventually closed my account. I emailed them again asking for clarification. They responded, but shifted the blame to their solar farm and my utility provider, claiming credits were not being sent. When I followed up, they redirected me to Perch Energy, who had no record of my account and could not resolve anything either. Today, after calling again, I was sent back to Arcadia, who still could not provide clear answers. When I asked whether additional charges would continue after paying my balance in full, they couldn’t even confirm that. I strongly urge others not to fall for this company’s promises. This has been one of the most frustrating and regrettable experiences I’ve dealt with in a long time — especially during these hard times.
Excellent! I It’s a relief to have help from Arcadia to pay my electricity bill
I subscribed for nearly 4 years with no problems and then suddenly Arcadia stopped paying my bill to Central Maine Power. It is now three weeks past due. Apparently in Maine something changed this year, and Arcadia just stopped paying its bills. I have called, emailed, or "chat botted" every day for over a week and I get the same response, that someone will get back me within 48 hours but they never do. One rep even lied and told me they had paid my CMP bill and that it would be showing up on my account in a day or two. VERY Angry.
If I could give a zero I would nothing but the biggest scam artist I've ever come across. After deactivating the account for multiple misrepresentations they still have my credit card on file refusing to release it because they're saying that I continually owe for back payments when everything is paid beware beware beware beware do not do not do not sign up with these scammers
I recently moved out of my co-op and am getting ready to sell it. All heat and appliances have been off. Somehow, I got hit for an electric bill that cost well over $200. When I brought the impossibly of this up, I was told that there was no error and I should contact ConEd for a breakdown of the bill. I did that and they said that I only owed about $54 for that pay period and all of it was covered by a credit, because it's now obvious that this company has been overcharging me for years. While waiting forever for their "concerned team" (their customer service struggles with English, I suppose, they hit me with that entire charge. I'm livid and am considering legal action.
I've already noticed a drop in my bill after just 2 months of signing up. The rewards program is not like anything I've ever seen but the prizes are amazing.
DO NOT ENROLL WITH ARCADIA POWER! Just don't do it. Very poorly run business with minimal customer support. No detailed monthly billing reflecting kW hours used so you can't determine what you are paying. We termed our contract on January 6, and they took an unauthorized withdrawal from our checking account on March 9. Avoid the headache - don't do it.
This is not a legitimate business. It works by scamming old people. We had some fast talking ape come to our door and demand to see our power bill. He claimed he was working "with dominion" (actual power company). When I got suspicious he started having a meltdown.
What’s not to like? Log in, get rewarded, enter contests, win prizes
after 2 years i finally got my solar spot. hopefully i can finally start seeing some actual discounts on my electric bill now..
Arcadia seemed decent when they were doing the credit/coupon thing and I wasn't getting weird, inexplicable bills from both them and my power provider. I've been trying to cancel with them and they insist I agreed to a service that could take up to 90 days to cancel, but that's not written in ANYTHING. Gave them business for EIGHT YEARS and the last four have been me getting slowly annoyed and fed up only to now have them lying to me as I'm trying to just leave them. They sent me the documents I signed, and nowhere in them do they say anything about a cancellation period of any length, let alone 90 days. They're blaming communication with the solar farm but also won't give me the information I need to contact them directly.
