My family and I recently stayed 4 nights and 5 days at Sunset Holiday, and we were absolutely blown away. This property in Eagles Nest is truly stunning—the views alone are worth the trip! From the moment you walk in, you can immediately appreciate the quality craftsmanship, beautiful décor, and thoughtful flow of the home. Having a bedroom on the main level with just a single step into the house was perfect for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. Upstairs offers two incredible bedrooms and a spacious TV/card/game room—this quickly became our family’s favorite hangout spot. The lower level features another bedroom and bathroom, plus a fantastic game area complete with a pool table, arcade machine, TV, and cozy sofa. Both decks overlook not just the yard, but the most breathtaking mountain views. We also loved the location—tucked away in its own peaceful corner of the mountain, yet only about 20 minutes from everything we needed. If you’re searching for a mountain getaway, my family cannot recommend this home enough. You’ll want to make it your “home away from home,” just as we have. Thank you to the owners for pouring so much love into this beautiful retreat. We can’t wait to return!

Our favorite trip this year!

Nov 7-10, 2025

We stayed in the Sweet Serenity at Sweetgrass to celebrate family birthdays. The home was clean and appointed as stated. I think one point I didn’t understand was that there are only 2.5 bathrooms for the 6 bedrooms so has an odd floor plan. I also felt the photos were a bit deceiving showing the lake in front of the house but that is actually a photo of the clubhouse which there was no access to. The first morning we woke up and the coffee maker would not work. We tried everything but it was broken. I called the phone number listed and let them know and they told me a coffee maker would be sent and should arrive by the next day. This was unfortunate in an expensive rental with 10 adults in need of coffee. They did send a coffee maker that evening. The two double beds upstairs have mattresses that are very uncomfortable. We slept one night in that room and ended up moving to the sofa. As a positive, there are games and pool table and nice TVs in each room. The kitchen was well appointed too. We had a nice stay overall.

Great rental management company

The home was clean, the customer service was great from start to finish. We needed propane refills and they were delivered same day! Highly recommend BRMR!

Great and comfortable home for a large family

Great views, close to town but it feels miles removed. Hot tub, fireplace and an endless horizon.

This home was perfect- everything we needed was right there, plus we were super close to amazing restaurants, fun thrift store, gorgeous views and a relaxing hot tub soak every night!

Moonlight Manor is the Best!

House was clean, lights on and comfortable temperature upon arrival. Kitchen is well equipped, lots of games and activities for all ages. Hot tub is phenomenal. A great place to stay. Cell phone service is a little inconsistent but texting works fine

Blue Ridge Mountain Review

We have rented from Blue Ridge Mountain rentals multiple times, approximately 10 if memory serves. Very responsive, easy to use website, rental houses are always well maintained. We will use them again soon

The house was very well kept

The house was very well kept, and the kitchen fully stocked with cooking utensils; this made for a very cozy mountain weekend. The convenient distance to both Boone and Blowing Rock is a huge plus, as trips out of the house were quick and easy.

Timber Forge Lodge (Birthday Trip)

We spent 5 days at Timber Forge Lodge and loved it! The view was absolutley amazing and the accommodations were comfy & cozy! The only comment I would have is about the cleanliness - for the money paid on the Cleaning Fees the house should be sparkling - but the floors needed a good scrub, and we ran across a couple of towels that appeared to have been used previously.
