Everything was great, from the website, to the price paid, to the communication throughout the process.
Company paid me exactly what they promised, for a flawless item. They operate in a very professional and ethical manner.
I have been using them for a while now always fast service and as long as you identify your product with the right condition they never change it and always get the correct amount and fast payment. Best company I have ever used.
I shipped my laptop to BuyBackTronics on July 22, 2026, on July 24, BuyBackTronics notified me that they had received and accepted my laptop and sent the payment to my PayPal account as I had requested. There initially was an issue with PayPal that had nothing to do with BuyBackTronics but BuyBackTronics still helped by recalling the payment from PayPal and sent me an echeck instead. Super quick process, very responsive by email and phone. If you are expecting a payout from BuyBackTronics, I recommend NOT selecting the PayPal option, as you will receive payment for "goods and services" which will trigger PayPal to want all kinds of proof of sale, etc. from you and it is too much of a hassle. Go for the echeck, it is instant as well.
Hey Lisa, This matter is actively being reviewed, and you will hear directly from our team with an update. Best, Ian Customer Success | BuyBackTronics.com
Item delivered there June 29 Evaluation reported on July 14 Refused lower price. As of July 24th, no tracking number yet of return. These are the facts.
Hi, We're sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, we're unable to identify your Trade-in based on an anonymous review, and the timeline you've described doesn't appear to match any unresolved returns we currently have. We'd genuinely like the opportunity to look into this for you. Please reach out to us with your Trade-in number. Best, Ian Customer Success | BuyBackTronics.com
Excellent communication. Honest evaluation. Quick payment. Absolutely no problems.
Do not use this company. We sent 2 phones to them. They quote you one price, and then when they get the phones, they're magically damaged. And now they want to pay you considerably. Less Deal with a local company. Save yourself the headache, it's not worth it. It took months to get some our money finally.
Hey Robert, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, although I'm disappointed we weren't able to meet expectations on your very first Trade-in with us. After reviewing your Trade-in, including the receiving footage, inspection notes, supervisor photos, and our correspondence, there were two separate issues identified during the evaluation. The iPhone 13 Pro Max was adjusted from Good to Fair condition, resulting in a $5 amendment in accordance with our published condition guidelines. The Samsung phone was submitted as an S23 Ultra. During inspection, however, it was identified as an S22 Ultra. It was also found to have a crack around the rear camera lens, which was visible in both the receiving footage and the supervisor photos we provided. After we shared the supporting documentation, you requested that we return the iPhone, which we were happy to do. While the Samsung took longer than either of us would have liked to resolve, I'm pleased we were ultimately able to reach a resolution. We understand that amended offers can be frustrating, which is why we thoroughly document our evaluations and provide photographs and receiving footage whenever questions arise. Our goal is to ensure every Trade-in is assessed fairly in the condition it is received while giving customers complete transparency and control throughout the process. I genuinely appreciate you giving BuyBackTronics.com the opportunity, even though this experience didn't end the way either of us had hoped. If you have any further questions, we're always happy to help. Best, Ian Customer Success | BuyBackTronics.com
The experience was fast and I was offered almost the same amount that was promised.
The Price was right and the payment came very quickly!
I’ve used BuyBackTronics for over a year and have sent them well over 100 items. Until this incident, I’d been very happy with their service. That changed when my MacBook Pro was returned with a significant dent that was not present before shipment. I have timestamped photos taken immediately before handing the package to UPS, and BuyBackTronics provided me with their warehouse unboxing video. After watching it several times, I believe the damage occurred while their employee forcefully tore the bubble wrap off the laptop instead of simply unwrapping it. The dent is **PERFECTLY** aligned with where the bubble wrap is being torn in the video. From an engineering standpoint, multiple tightly wrapped layers of bubble wrap become surprisingly stiff. Pulling them upward while they’re still gripping a thin aluminum laptop concentrates force along the edge, creating enough compression to crease the metal. That is consistent with the sharp, localized crease on my MacBook and the way the bubble wrap was removed in the unboxing video. Rather than taking responsibility, they blamed my packaging. Their own video shows the box arriving in excellent condition, with the cardboard, packing paper, and multiple layers of bubble wrap all intact. The damage itself is a sharp, localized crease… not the type of broad impact you’d expect from a package being crushed during shipping. Their response was: “The video confirms that our associate handled your package with care.” I’ll let others watch the footage and decide for themselves whether forcefully ripping (rather than unwrapping) tightly wrapped bubble wrap off a MacBook qualifies as “handling with care.” What I found most frustrating was the response itself (once it finally arrived). I was given a generic lecture on how to package electronics… “use dense void fill, fill empty space, wrap the charger separately in bubble wrap.” The problem is, I did all of that, and their own unboxing video clearly shows it. The reply read less like someone addressing the actual evidence and more like an AI‑generated response that ignored the specifics of what actually happened. Accidents happen. What matters is how a company responds. It took over a week (8 days) to receive a “meaningful” reply, and after more than 100 successful transactions, they chose to blame my packaging rather than acknowledge the possibility that the damage occurred during their handling. I still don’t think they’re a bad company, they handled my previous 100+ transactions excellently. But this experience, and especially how it was handled afterward, has completely shattered the view I had with them. They’re good when times are good, but the minute an issue arises, they’re quick to shift the blame.
Pretty easy i filled out what i had sent it in and i happen to choose online visa card and the money was in there within two days after they received it. All in all maybe a week total from my house to paid. I could’ve paid the expedited service but i didnt have to.
My experience of selling my phone was smooth and easy and I got a fair price. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this company!
I would not recommend BuyBackTronics. In my experience, the process felt misleading. I was quoted a price for my T-Mobile iPhone, which I've only had for about seven months. The phone isn't fully paid off, but my T-Mobile account is in good standing, and I could have verified that if they had asked. I wasn't trying to avoid paying T-Mobile—I simply needed money and planned to sell my phone. After they received my phone, which was in excellent condition, they drastically reduced their offer because there was still a balance owed on it. Instead of rejecting the phone outright if that was against their policy, they offered me only a small fraction of the original quoted price and gave me three days to accept or decline. I declined immediately and requested my phone be returned. It felt like a bait-and-switch to me. If an outstanding balance affects the value that much, that information should be made clear before customers ship their devices—not after they're already counting on the quoted amount. Based on my experience, I'd recommend using a company that is completely transparent about its policies and pricing from the start. I would not use BuyBackTronics again.
Hey there, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I'd like to provide some additional context. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate your Trade-in using the provided. However, based on your review, it appears the amended offer related to the device remaining under an active finance plan. While I certainly understand your disappointment, a financed device simply cannot carry the same Trade-in value as an otherwise identical device that is fully paid off. We make every effort to disclose this before a device is ever shipped. During checkout, every condition category on our website states that devices should be free of financial obligations or contracts. In addition, when selecting a carrier, customers are also presented with a tooltip referencing financed devices. You are welcome to revisit the website to confirm this. Although you chose not to proceed with the amended offer, your device was promptly returned without hassle. While devices with active financial obligations would not typically qualify for a free courtesy return, we elected to return your device at no cost as a gesture of goodwill for your first Trade-in with us. The three day response window is simply in place to keep Trade-ins moving efficiently through our system while awaiting a customer's decision. It is not intended to pressure customers into accepting an amended offer. Should you wish to discuss your Trade-in further, please email [email protected] and ask for me directly. I would be more than happy to review everything with you personally. Best, Ian Customer Success | BuyBackTronics.com
my sale was taking a long time, after calling it was resolved that day. much higher quote than anywhere else i checked, and it was honored in the end. very satisfied.
The whole process was good but a little slow compared to another site I've used. Your site is very east to use which is nice.
Overall great service. It just took a little longer than originally expected.
This was our first time using BuyBackTronics and we have nothing but the greatest experience and recommendations! All communication with BuyBackTronics was quick, precise and helpful. Most important, the initial estimate was already great but the following and final figures were never lower! BuyBackTronics is the first place to check, full stop!
Looked at several options and went with bbt thinking we’d get $75 only to Learn that you valued it $0. … what a hassle in terms of timing and effort.
Hey Kim, After reviewing your Trade-in, I wanted to provide a little more context regarding the amended offer. Your Google Pixel 7 was submitted at checkout in Flawless condition. During inspection, however, the device was found to have heavy screen burn-in and was also missing its SIM tray. While a Google Pixel 7 in Flawless condition (Verizon Locked) carried a maximum Trade-in value of approximately $70, once the deductions for the documented screen burn-in and missing SIM tray were applied, the device unfortunately no longer held sufficient residual value for us to make an offer. I appreciate that customers may not always notice every cosmetic or functional imperfection during normal day to day use. However, before we resell a device, we have a responsibility to accurately represent its condition to the next customer. A supervisor also reviewed the Trade-in and provided photo documentation supporting the amended offer. As mentioned during the Trade-in process and in our emails, amended offers come with no obligation. Although we were unable to make an offer in this instance, your Google Pixel 7 was returned to you free of charge as a courtesy. We continue to strive to provide a fair, consistent, predictable, and transparent service where customers remain in control of their decisions throughout the entire Trade-in process. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]. I would be happy to assist. Best, Ian Customer Success | BuyBackTronics.com
