The drive they sent me was reported to be defective by a local computer repair shop.
The review I submitted was true to the best of my knowledge. When I received the 512 GB from Drive Solutions I attempted to clone it. When that wasn't successful I contacted the maker of my backup, Acronis who spent over an hour trying to clone the drive. When that didn't work I took the 512 GB drive to a local computer repair shop. The technician I hired to install it said it was defective. After all this frustration I decided to replace my 7 year old laptop with a faster new one. I didn't find out that the repair shop installed Drive Solutions Samsung 512GB SSD and returned my old Micron 256GB until I picked up the old laptop and booted it up. There was nothing malicious on my part when I wrote the review. I was simply relaying the facts as reported to me by the computer repair shop. I have since apologized to Drive Solutions and plan to never use that repair shop again.

Sellers Beware – Customer Review Incident We want to share a recent experience with a customer, Mr. William Marshall, to make other sellers aware of a situation that raised several concerns. We shipped Mr. Marshall exactly what he ordered: a new Samsung Gen4 NVMe 512GB SSD. He posted a negative review claiming the drive was defective without contacting us first. We reached out to help troubleshoot and provided guidance on common installation issues. He later said a local technician told him the drive was defective and asked for a refund, stating he would remove the review if we did—an attempt at review manipulation. We offered to replace the drive at no cost or accept a return for testing, which is our standard process for suspected defective products. When we received a return, it did not include the Samsung drive we shipped. Instead, it contained a Micron 256GB OEM SSD and a non-returnable data transfer case missing parts. Mr. Marshall then asked that we return the incorrect items at our expense, again linking it to removing the review. We are always willing to help customers resolve issues, but the product we shipped was never returned, and the customer’s actions represent review manipulation

I purchased a 16GB DDR5 5600 stick for $165 on January 21st, but the next day I received an email saying it was backordered and no longer available, even though about 10 were listed in stock at the time of purchase. While I was disappointed, I was able to get a 16GB Patriot DDR5 6000 CL30 module from Newegg for slightly more than $165, so it worked out in the end. I just wish DriveSolutions would provide more accurate inventory information instead of sending apologies after the fact.

I Liked the way you could look up part needed to fix my problem.prices were just a little higher than I would have liked but fair. Worst part of process was the delivery they tell you 3 to 5 business days but it to 6. Should have been here sooner. If I wanted it 2 days it would have cost me half of what the part cost.

Since we ship from Southern California and your delivery address is in North Carolina, transit times are typically toward the longer end of that range.
