What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the dedicated and professional staff, noting that communication is always clear, highly punctual, and very helpful during every consultation interaction. Advisors also truly appreciate the smooth project processes, relevant industry topic matching, and prompt payments received for successfully sharing their valuable expertise. Some reviewers were not happy with the lengthy screening questionnaires required before projects, feeling that extensive preparation goes entirely uncompensated. A few other people also felt that communication could occasionally lag or that receiving compensation for completed advisory sessions took much longer than expected.

What people say

Require to share confidential financial information

It's a scam, insisted on me providing financial information about the revenue split of my former employer. When for the 4th time I mentioned that I am not at liberty to share any confidential information, the client decided I was not the right fit. Even though initially they wanted to proceed with a consultation.

Overall positive experience.

Each of the consultations has gone very well and very smoothly. Payment has also arrived on time, and each project has generally been positive. The only drawback I would say is that the questions prior to each consultation can take a little bit of time. I think they should provide compensation for the amount of prep that goes into the consultations as well. Other than that, it has been a generally good experience.

They like to waste your time

My profile with this company is up tp date and they used to contact me with relevant assignments. However for the past year I am approached about random assignments that, if you read my profile, you would understand that I have no expertise in the area. Moreover when there is an assignment which may be relevant to my expertise, there is always a lengthy questionnaire, after which they inform you that they have already filled their requirement. So they seem not to prequalify their experts and then ask their expert network to effectively waste their time. The final straw came when they informed me, erroneously, that I was associated with a particular company whose emplyees are not permitted to work with Guidepoint. Three weeks ago I informed them of their error, with supporting documentati0on,. but have heard nothing since. I am surprised that others have such positive experiences.

Guidepoint is a strong Expert network partner

I think Guidepoint provides a lot of great consulting opportunities; but given the low percentage of those that become actually paid encounters (compared to other expert networks), Guidepoint needs to tighten up the selection processes and possibly prefill out forms when possible. That would make it easier to respond to the numerous queries they send through. Overall, the staff are great, Guidepoint pays quickly, and has a generous hourly rate for most experts.

Enjoy opportunities to be useful

I enjoy opportunities to be useful to the business community that utilizes Guidepont. My conversations with clients have been useful. It is good to have an opportunity for compensation for providing useful service of sharing information and experience.
