Guidepoint cancelled my consultation and then refused to compensate me, claiming they “only pay if cancellation is within one hour.” Convenient. They cancel on short notice (almost 2 hr hehehehe) , then deny payment because it wasn’t short enough.
This is a company that wants free labor, free prep, and free availability — and when they break the appointment, they pretend their hands are tied. It’s dishonest, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable in 2026.

Our policy is typically that we can provide compensation if the consultation is cancelled within one hour of the start time. Given there was almost 2 hours notice, I am not able to send out an invoice on my end.
I have been colaborating with Guidepoint for 5+ years now. By far the most professional, the most constant and surely the most transparent expert network experience over all these years. Expect to be treated fair and professional. Other networks appeared, some disappeared...but Guidepoint has been a reliable partner throughout. Highly recommended
The process you use is very good and sound. The interview process and subsequent follow up are pretty good. What concerns me is the wide distribution of request and for cases where I am sure I have the relevant experience, I am not selected some times. This is probably due to an insufficient project scope or bad matching. There are not too many people in the Oleochemical technology field with my level of experience yet it is sometimes overlooked,
