The Ionic Foot Spa machine itself is designed to last for many years with proper care. The only component that requires periodic replacement is the "ionic array", which is a consumable part of the system. During each session, the array naturally undergoes oxidation as part of the ionization process, so it is expected to wear over time and typically lasts for 20–30 sessions, depending on usage. This is similar to replacing a filter in an appliance or changing printer ink; it's a normal maintenance item, not an indication that the machine itself has worn out. The replacement arrays offered after checkout are completely optional and are simply provided at a discounted price for customers who wish to stock up in advance. You do not need to purchase additional arrays immediately, and you can first use the array that comes with your Ionic Foot Spa to see how the product works for you. We certainly never want any customer to feel misled or taken advantage of. 🙂 Thank you again for your honest feedback.
