I acquired Debut Video Capture Software (Pro Edition) in 2022. Due to a change of hardware, the installation of the original software on the new computer gave an issue. Having paid for the license, I contacted NCH Customer Service Team and have been provided almost immediately with instructions how to solve the issue. Now it works again like a charm. So thanks to Gigi and the entire NCH Team.
I've been using this for writing on music. I've looking for something like this that isn't too complicated but isn't limited to only a few notes. This saved my life.

I used NCH software for about a few years off and on. It took some tweaking but I knew how to use it so I was resistant to change. What the do is sell you editing software, let's say video 5.1. Now you only have a license to use 5.1, but they automatic updates take you to 5.2. It installs and within a day or so stops running with a message that you are using a trial copy and do not have the rights to use 5.2. To use NCH you must turn off updates, and you must download a backup of say 5.1 Because NCH does not let you reload your old say, 5.1 from them. IMPORTANT: I took 2 minutes to post/warn people because, and read this carefully: What I wrote is only about 10% of the issues with NCH. There is still a closed reddit thread up on these "people", do your research...
The version I had went glitchy. I had it a while, so I upgraded at no small cost. However, within about 8 months, the program started to fail again, putting &s in random places on the invoice. In those 8ish months, there had been three upgrades; one of these was to get rid of that glitch. There was no email from them saying there was an improvement. They only upgrade for free if you spot their fault within 6 months of purchase. They want another payment from me to buy what is clearly a poor-quality product. Dreadful customer service from a software company selling software of unmerchantable quality. For a small business, this has changed from an affordable and usable program to one that is a complete waste of money.

Every app I've bought from NCH has been solid and performed great.
One of the more unintuitive s/w packages I've ever used. Just one example- try to add text to a picture. You'd think you just click the text tool and add in that location, but it creates a text box in a different location than the "click" point. Furthermore, you can't move this box unless you hit the layers tab-how on earth does one know this ahead of time. Additionally, after this, later I found no way to select it. I just gave up. Lots of other problems with the collage function, which is most of what I use, like simple things like sizing a picture to fit in a particular space-no way! I've done >50 collages with this and struggled each time. I will say, however, that I haven't found one that is better, so I'm stuck with it.

Extremely easy to use and very powerful software. I've been using it for months and by far, it's one of the best apps out there for all your audio needs.
This software is most useful because record a lot of audio and then extract only a few seconds of the most relevant portion.
Close to what I'm using Now which i have been a Cake Walk Sonor user for years after a bit of location findings works similar! Getting used to it! Good so far!
