Harry Potter Genetics for an 8th grader
My daughter just finished the Harry Potter Genetics class with Next Level Honeschool. I was very pleased with how the material was presented, what was taught, and the feedback that was given. The class is very thorough and educational. There is a lot of information packed into the course and Mary is a no-nonsense, engaging and funny teacher. "Sea" for yourself!

Great first experience!
This was our son's first homeschool experience/class and it gave him the confidence he needed to feel structured and productive in this work! He loved the open talk spaces (and made new friends there!), and loved the content. The assignments were carefully curated and really interesting and diverse! We recommend this class entirely!

Perfect for our homeschool needs
Our son loves the format of NextLevel science, with powerpoints he can go through at his own pace, and a variety of options to choose from, when doing assignments each week. He enjoys the occasional humor in the lessons. I love the fact that there are deadlines for projects, weekly quizzes, and I love that Mary does the grading.

Taking Marine Biology 101
Taking Marine Biology 101 was really fun and the classes were really interesting and engaging. It didn't go into as much depth as I had hoped but I think that comes in the later more advanced classes.

I'm so glad you had fun! Marine Biology 101 is an "background" type class. We hit on all of the major points of marine biology that we need to know before we "dive in" to the details in Marine Zoology. So basically, we start with the big picture and then fine tune to the details.
High school biology is my daughter's first class with Next Level Homeschool. So far she is enjoying it and learning so much information. We look forward to the rest of the class.

Marine Biology 101
Marine Biology 101! I cannot recommend this intro class enough. My child was interested in Marine Biology, after taking this class. He cannot be happier. The materials kept his interest and the homework/projects were so fun!

Marine Bio & High School Bio
My two daughters took a whole year of Marine Biology (2024-2025) and then the oldest went on to take High School Biology(now 2025-2026). She also took a persuasive writing class(2025). They both learned so much and I can’t say enough positive things about the creative format for assignments. The instructors are responsive and helpful. I will continue to recommend and utilize NextLevel for year to come!

We signed up for the Earth Science 1 class. While our schedule wasn't ready for the firm due dates, I really loved the design of the class and the note taking skills that were developed naturally because of its design. We will definitely be returning to Next Level Homeschool when we reach the higher grade levels.

Worth Every Penny!
My daughter was enrolled in the Marine Biology 101 class and it far exceeded my expectations! This is our 9th year homeschooling and this class has had her more engaged and eager to learn than anything else we have ever done. She loved the structure of the class and she had so much fun with the projects. She begged to sign up for the next class too. Great experience for my budding marine biologist! Highly recommend!
Next Level Classes provide an impressive amount of material and allow you to adapt lessons to fit your child’s learning style. The program manages to be both challenging and enjoyable, keeping students engaged while still pushing them to grow. I also love that the teacher takes science related field trips around the world to share firsthand information and experiences; it makes the lessons come alive in such a unique way.

Thank you so much for the wonderful online lessons you have provided on science subjects over the years in which my daughter was home educated. They were exactly as promised: rigorous, flexible, entertaining, and in depth, with the option for project-based activities, if desired. Also, they - and the wonderful programmes presented by David Attenborough & Iain Stewart, which were watched for years prior to discovering your courses at the age of 11 - inspired an awareness of the importance of protecting the environment that is lasting and has taken her into the future, and has me on my toes too!
It had become harder to satisfy her curiosity about the world in a way that respected her particular learning style, and that was not dry, mechanically-presented and uninspiring (like a lot of the GCSE or iGCSE material). Your approach was more in line with other favourite information-providers, such as Kurzgesagt, Veritasium, Crashcourse and Khan Academy. She has gone on to gain a place in Cambridge University, and is very grateful for the inspiration gleaned from numerous science courses with you along the route, including: marine biology, oceanography, biology, chemistry, fractions and earth sciences.
Next Level Homeschool gives students in depth understanding of all the subjects they teach!

Engaging Homeschool Classes!
My son completed the year long Marine Biology course and trip to Panama and I highly recommend!
The course itself was a great format for us. Canvas was easy to use and perfect to go at your own pace. The course was very in depth and the choices for assignments felt inclusive.
I highly recommend Next Level Homeschool for their engaging and rigorous content that is approachable. I'm looking forward to my son trying more classes.

Short Engaging Classes for my ADHD/Autistic Son
My son doesn't love traditional school, and has been educated at home for years. This year he took 3 classes and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. For the first time ever, he genuinely liked the "active and interesting research" he completed on animals such as the Sea Lion and otters during Marine Mammal Month. I was happy that he found satisfaction researching something besides video games! During Shark Month, he learned about the existance of the IUCN Redlist and talks about it often with his sister. Finally, during Common Cents: Foundations in Personal Finance, he taught himself how to use the built in math features when designing a Google spreadsheet for one of the assignments. I highly recommend all classes at Next Level Homeschool. My children have taken over 20 classes throughout the years. My oldest discovered her love of Marine Science through Mary's science classes and will be attending university in September to further this interest.
My son enjoyed the self-paced short story classes this year. I loved them because all of the planning had been done for me. This was an awesome way to make sure he has the best curriculum for his high school year.

Amazing science classes!
Our family has been taking science classes with Next Level Homeschool for three years. Our son has learned SO much! He enjoys the slideshows and content for each week, and he gets so much out of the hands on projects and assignments. His understanding of biology, earth science, and chemistry is growing with each year. This year he took the year long Marine Zoology class and was amazed by how deeply he understands taxonomy now. He also has a greater appreciation for the incredible animals that live in the ocean. We look forward to more great years ahead with Next Level Homeschool!

Shakespeare explanations
Using Canvas was extremely easy. We loved the explanations of the Shakespeare Plays and the recap at the end. It was so easy to understand which made it so much more enjoyable. It makes a mom feel good when a teen wants to finish it because they are enjoying it! The only complaint we had, was the time frame assignments were due, perhaps consider adding the time zone you are in. So if something is due by 11:59 pm EST 6/2/25. Teens need an exact black and white cut-off, especially homeschoolers.

The search is over!
Next Level Homeschool is what I have been searching for! Our family has homeschooled for 4 years and will continue to do so. This is the first science class, specifically Oceanography, that my child engaged in was really interested in and finished with confidence. We are sticking with Next Level for science and will be enrolling in history and a writing class this coming year.
The classes are structured and organized. Students can work at their own pace but assignments are due with in a certain timeframe.
One of the biggest challenges of homeschooling is finding curriculum that checks all the boxes. This one is it. I have only mentioned a few of the courses they offer. I highly recommend trying out a class or two!
