Very disappointing experience. I paid for APA 7 formatting and included my university’s required formatting instructions, but the final document showed they were not properly reviewed or followed. The work felt rushed, and it did not appear that adequate quality checks were done before the paper was returned to me. When someone pays for a professional academic formatting service, the expectation is careful review, accuracy, and compliance with the provided guidelines. That did not happen here. I ended up with more frustration and more cleanup work instead of a finished product.
Hi Steven, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience and that the final document caused you additional frustration instead of giving you the support you were hoping for. We understand your concerns, especially because you paid for APA 7 formatting and also shared your university’s formatting instructions. We can see why you expected the document to fully match everything you provided. At the same time, we’d like to clarify that our formatting service is designed to format documents according to the selected academic style guide—in your case, APA 7—and not to fully implement or guarantee compliance with individual university-specific guidelines. Based on our review, the document was formatted according to APA 7, which is the service that was ordered. That said, we absolutely understand that this distinction may not have been clear enough, and we’re sorry that the result felt rushed and left you with more work to do. We always aim to provide careful and professional support, and we regret that this was not your impression. We’ve already reached out to you directly so we can look into your case more closely and see whether we can find a suitable solution together. If you reply to our message, we’ll be happy to review the situation further with you. Kind regards, Matteo & the Scribbr-team
I appreciate that I can create different groups for my citations. This feature is especially helpful when I have multiple college projects happening simultaneously, as it prevents me from losing my sources. I also like that it can organize my source list in alphabetical order. However, I haven't been able to use the sync extension due to my school's computer usage policy. I believe that this would be an amazing resource, making the process of writing a research essay and organizing sources much easier.
Dear Madison, Thank you so much for your positive feedback! We are happy to hear that our tool is helpful for you. Should you have any further remarks or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Cheers, Laura & the Scribbr team
