Unsophisticated and crude
Zone IT Solutions claims to "connect top IT talent with innovative companies using cutting-edge strategies and market insights tailored to Australia’s dynamic tech landscape." They appear to do this by collecting public listings for vacant positions and then gathering the resumes of likely candidates from places like LinkedIn, using a broad keyword search. Their efforts are clumsy and unrefined. The only information they have about the job (and the client) is from the original listing and they cannot add any value to the process of helping the candidate decide if the job is appropriate for them. They have tried to match me to several positions for which I am obviously unsuited, (they did not read my resume) and have repeatedly declined to refrain from approaching me with further inappropriate offers. For their "efforts" they will mark-up the candidate rate to the level that the market can bear and pay you what you are owed. I do not believe that they are dishonest, or breaching any regulations. However, they are not members of RCSA - the Recruitment, Consulting & Staffing Association, the peak body for the recruitment, staffing & workforce solutions industry across Australia and New Zealand. I have asked them several times to cease approaching me with their ham-fisted unprofessional recruiting, but they still persist.
