We bought our Stainless steel American style, French door fridge freezer from Rangemaster 5 years ago and it had inherent problems from the start. Rather than report them, we followed the manufacturer’s trouble shooting instructions and fixed the issues. Recently it suffered catastrophic failure. We researched the lifespan of such a product and it states that it should give service of between 10-15 years. We contacted the supplier who washed their hands of the problem and so we contacted Rangemaster and they sent us back to the supplier, who in turn referred us back to Rangemaster. Both companies showed no interest or support. The fridge freezer was guaranteed for 2 years. I feel totally let down by both the supplier and Rangemaster. It’s interesting to note that Rangemaster no longer manufacture fridge freezers under the banner Rangemaster or Aga, this tells me that they are aware of the issues with this supposedly high end household appliance and no longer manufacture them. All we asked for was a repair but both companies washed their hands of the issue. I would no longer recommend Rangemaster to anyone.
