A Mac file recovery that works!
I usually do not rewiev software, but in this case ... I had an encrypted external Mac HD with photos and movies from 23 years of family life, which suddenly refused to accept my password. • Apple's repair utility could not repair it. • Changing cables did not help. • An advanced Third-party repair did not help—although it detected something wrong with the file system, it was unable to fix it. • I tried to get through the Terminal without success. • A tech-savvy friend with another Mac and quite experienced couldn’t help. There is a bunch of software for this, but one recommended recovery app did not work, since the disk was encrypted with a password. I found and tried "iBoysoft" - as a free trial- as a last resort, without any hope. But the recovery program asked for and accepted my password and started to show files to recover!!! After one night of scanning, everything seems listed, and ready to recover as soon as I bought the program! Grateful that I could do the scanning first, and buy the app when it seemed to work. Which it did, above expectations! Well worth it! Such a relief! (PS I know – backup ... From now and on.)
