Gnar XC are really excellent wheels
These are really excellent wheels, especially considering the price, weight, reliability, and serviceability. In my opinion, they are some of the best wheels available today. I rode them during the first half of the season, and almost every race was extremely muddy. Despite the conditions, the wheels held up perfectly. I didn’t even need to regrease the bearings — the sealing is that good. The wheel build is also excellent. The spokes have maintained their tension over time, and there has been no need for truing or any signs of the wheels developing a wobble. The tubeless rim tape is applied very well, and sealant does not seep underneath it. The wheels meet their claimed specifications and have performed exactly as expected. If I ever need another wheelset, I would choose the Gnar XC again without hesitation. If you weigh around 70 kg, I would definitely recommend them. The 28/28 spoke configuration is exactly what you need.
