Be prepared for an exceptionally difficult return
I purchased three pairs of shoes from HOBIBEAR for my father. He only needed one pair, so I ordered an additional pair to compare and the same shoes in a different size. I then decided to return two pairs. Despite HOBIBEAR advertising "Easy Returns", the return process was anything but easy. I had to email to request a return and then, over a period of around two weeks, had a series of emails asking questions and offering alternatives rather than simply providing the return instructions. I was offered discounts to keep the shoes, a free replacement pair, and the opportunity to choose another style from their website. I repeatedly explained that I did not want another pair, a discount or an exchange — I simply wanted to return two pairs and receive my £86 refund. I was eventually given a UK return address in Tamworth. I returned the two pairs as instructed and provided the tracking number and proof of delivery as soon as the parcel was delivered. I have since been told to "wait patiently" for the shoes to arrive at their warehouse before they will process the refund, despite the tracking showing delivery to their nominated return address. I appreciate that I am currently within the normal timeframe for processing the refund, so I am not saying that they have refused to refund me. However, the whole experience has been unnecessarily drawn out and frustrating. What should have been a straightforward return has taken two weeks of emails just to get a return address, followed by further waiting after the shoes were delivered. I hope the £86 refund is now processed promptly. Based on my experience so far, I would not describe HOBIBEAR's returns process as "easy". I will never order from this company again. I can see I'm not the only person to have been treated in this way. HOBIBEAR, please do not bother responding to me as I can see that you really do not take customer service seriously and your words are empty and meaningless.
