Wait and then wait again
After waiting on hold for 20 min. Just to speak to someone, I was told that getting a land line activated would take about three days. I received an email confirmation later that day saying it would be 1.5 weeks! For a land line! A pre existing line that just needs activation. I called them back, waited again, and was told too bad, nothing they could do. I said I am a physician, I need to answer calls. I just moved in to this house, is there anything sooner. I was promptly told no. And there was nothing more they could do for me. I guess the demand for land lines is too much nowadays that the soonest they can do anything is 1.5 weeks. Too bad AT&T has the monopoly in this area or I would certainly use someone else.
