Frustration and Disappointment from Start to 'Finish'
The initial 'welcome' letter from Ross Coats was positive and reassuring once I had decided, after much research into finding a company to sell my mother's home at the beginning of June. However, my experience was far from anything in that letter and until completion upon 26th September I found there to be little regard/respect for me as a client. The emails were not replied to quickly. There so many excuses offered whether it was emails or telephone calls. The telephone was rarely answered and on a few occasions I had to telephone another office for them to put me through although they often couldn't get through either. There was very little updating of progress. Information was requested, supplied and acknowledged but then asked for again simply because no one person seemed to deal with the case. I had more assistance from my excellent estate agent who often had to contact the RC on my behalf. I never felt I had one person handling the sale of my mother's house. The final financial statement was incorrrect. I could go on..... I made a written (email) informal complaint soon after the sale was completed as I was told this would be investigated more quickly than a formal one, but despite reminders from me and empty promises I have yet to have a reply and is the basis of my overall review. If a business wishes to be reviewed and the reviewer is given the choice of 1 to 5 stars then that review has to be accepted.
