BUYERS BEWARE! AN UNAUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR – the manufacturer’s warranty WILL BE REFUSED, YOUR DEVICE STOLEN!
A Blackview Acebook 8 portable computer, purchased from “Blackview France”(blackview.fr), which, to this day, falsely claims that they are an authorized Blackview distributor for France. BLACKVIEW GLOBAL IS AWARE OF THIS ONLINE SCAM! The device STOPPED FUNCTIONING AND WOULD NOT CHARGE AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR. Since there is a TWO YEAR MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY, I contacted official Blackview France Support (fr(at)blackview.support). THEY HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE DEVICE WAS UNDER WARRANTY, and sent me a contact for their authorized repairs contractor “Mon Sav Mobile” (monsavmobile.fr) to open a ticket and get the device shipped to them. Having shipped the device to “Mon Sav Mobile” , after several weeks I have received AN OFFER FOR REPAIR, QUOTING EUR 402.00 (FOR A DEVICE INITIALLY PAID EUR 274.89!!!!), under the explanation that “THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO COVER THE REPAIRS UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO INCORRECT ÏMEI/SERIAL NUMBER”?!? Additionally, THE ONLY FREE OPTION OFFERED WAS THE DESTRUCTION OF MY LAPTOP. IF I WANTED TO RECEIVE A BROKEN LAPTOP BACK I HAD TO PAY EUR 31.20 FOR THE SHIPPING!!! Contacted Blackview Global Support (joanna(at)blackview.hk), and was explained that THEY CAN NOT ASSIST ME DUE TO MY DEVICE BEING PURCHASED NOT DIRECTLY FROM BLACKVIEW (which I was misled to think, like many other customers in France..) BUT RATHER FROM A DISTRIBUTOR. MY DEVICE, WITH ALL THE PERSONAL DATA ON IT WAS THEREFORE STOLEN BY BLACKVIEW AUTHORIZED REPAIRER. BLACKVIEW SUPPORT (France and Global) HAS BEEN IGNORING MY EMAILS SINCE. CASE IS REPORTED TO FRENCH ANTI-FRAUD AGENCY AND IS UNDER INVESTIGATION! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
