No return calls for new loan
I’ve been a Loan Depot customer for approximately five years now. Never had a problem never missed a payment ever had any problems whatsoever. But then I started a new home loan application on their website a week ago and never received a phone call back. I ended up calling them four times only to be told that I will get a text message followed by a phone call and this never happened. On two of the occasions that being the last two calls, I was guaranteed by the secretary that a loan officer would call or the manager would call that day. And of course, this never happened. My low review is based on my experience this time around. For a loan company to avoid contact with a customer applying for a new home loan is quite disturbing. The fact that the housing market is slow and the interest rates are high who knows when the interest rates will drop. I’m assuming Loan Depot has so much business that a current customer with a credit score of over 800 is no longer good enough for their company. I called today and notified them I was canceling my home loan application. My experience and a current customer and know urgency on there part to correct the situation is a true statement and I have the phone calls to validate everything in the review. For those out there looking into a loan company read the reviews on as many as you can. When businesses customer service changes over 5 years to what Loan Depot is today, beware of the time it will take to get approval for a loan.
