Sofar Solar are shocking
Our PV system used a Sofar Solar inverter for a satisfactory five years. At no time were we informed that a guarantee extension beyond five years was available. Two weeks after the five year guarantee period Sofar Solar imposed a firmware update. No information was given before or after the operation . The inverter crashed and despite specialist examination could not be resurrected. Eventually after two months of complaining and seeking support from the installers a brand new updated inverter arrived direct from China. Now fitted and functioning well it has absolutely no guarantee!! When asked the UK office stated that the replacement inverter was subject to the same guarantee as the original inverter which ran out on June 22 th last. HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY.
