LOTR PJs? The desolation of Smaug (partially my fault)
I ordered the LOTR PJs. The good: I love the pattern. The bad: Was really confused by the sizing because the given dimensions for top and bottom seemed so out of proportion e.g. what seemed to be a 50" chest and 36" waist (don't quote me). I erred on the side of caution and ordered so the bottoms would fit. I'm a ladies' UK 18 and ordered the 2XL, which I usually go for. Wrong guess! I can literally fit 2 people in them (yes, we tried) and the top is like a circus tent on me. Too expensive to return and re-order from the UK, so I'm stuck with them. The fabric is very stretchy. I let myself be seduced by the description of the luxury-sounding 'milk silk'... turns out it's a horrid (IMHO) shiny, man-made fibre I wouldn't usually be seen dead in. That said, it is soft and warm, as stated. I'm not dissing the product. The bias about the fabric is my own sustainability hang-up and preference for natural fibres. I did understand they weren't, but from the 'milk silk' description was expecting something more like silk than spandex. Just be careful picking your size and know they are very, very stretchy.
