Deceptive Delivery Guarantees & Broken Promises – Beware!
I recently made a purchase on Alibaba and had to pay an unusually high shipping fee. During checkout, Alibaba heavily advertised their "Late Delivery Guarantee," promising a 10% refund of the total order amount if the shipment arrived past the guaranteed date. The package arrived significantly delayed. True to form for many Chinese merchants who play tricks when accountability is required, Alibaba completely changed their tune and made up excuses to dodge the 10% compensation. This classic slippery behavior and lack of business integrity are deeply frustrating. I am warning global shoppers to be extremely careful when buying from Alibaba. It is best to avoid such platforms and take your business elsewhere, where honesty and trust actually matter. Reply to Alibaba: I have already contacted your seller and Alibaba's customer support multiple times, and I was repeatedly rejected with completely unreasonable excuses. As a buyer, I paid high shipping fees to have my goods delivered, and the delay was not my fault at all. Yet, both Alibaba and the seller came up with the same absurd excuse, claiming it was an "invalid shipping method by Alibaba"! If the shipping method was invalid on your platform, why was it offered and charged for in the first place? This is pure buck-passing and dodging responsibility.
