Skaff Furniture Carpet One Floor & Home

Ordering our carpet came easy with the assistance of our salesman Gary, however, after that is where things went down hill. Our carpet arrived and installed and we were left with the huge task of cleaning up after the installation. I wasn't there when the installers finished up but we had to immediately start cleaning up which involved several times of vacuuming and cleaning our hard wood floors from all the dust and new carpet fibers that were everywhere. The next issue came a couple of weeks after the initial installation and that was lines showing up in the carpet in our master bedroom. We also had a foot long section of carpet in our living room that wasn't attached to the tack strip. We had the installers come back out, fix the living room issue and look at the lines. The installers took pictures and said these weren't seam's these lines were a flaw in the carpet itself. At this point Skaff contacted us and said they would have to order replacement carpet and that the new carpet would be installed in a week in a half. After about a week we received a phone call from Skaff telling us the roll of carpet they were going to use as replacement also had the same flaws and that we would have to wait for a new roll to get made and that was going to be another few weeks. In the meantime, more of these lines were showing up throughout our entire house of carpet. We asked for the VP of Skaff to come out to our house as we have become increasingly frustrated with all of this. He inspected the rest of the house and said the whole house of carpet really needs to be replaced as the flaw is throughout the entire house practically. This means movers to move our furniture, time off work to accommodate the days it's estimated to take to uninstall and reinstall the carpet and again all the effort and hours of cleanup after the new, un - flawed carpet is installed. We ordered this carpet in the beginning of December, 2018 and it's now almost the end of March 2019. We are still waiting to get the new carpet installed as we're waiting for it to get made and go thru the inspection process at the manufacturer and then at Skaff. In addition to our carpet, we ordered a new bed and living room furniture, of which we also encountered issues with as well. This has been our very first experience with Skaff. We've spent thousands of dollars at this store in the last 4 months. All we've been told is they want /will take care of us. Well, here we are still waiting for our carpet situation to get fixed, waiting to continue to unpack after our move, because it doesn't make sense to keep unpacking stuff when it all just has to get picked up again so they can uninstall the flawed carpet and reinstall the new carpet. We've asked for a credit against what we owe but nothing has been offered yet. The VP just has said they first and foremost want us to get taken care of so we can walk away happy with Skaff. Well, we are at the point where money does the talking. Our sales people Betty and Gary, did a very good job and were wonderful in assisting us in our selection. We would work with them over and over again. As far as the company and their reputation, we'll see, time will tell.
