I will never buy from them again
I will never buy from them again. I might be the jerk here, but Jesus Christ this is ridiculous. I bought a Korekiyo Shinguji cosplay from Miccostumes, and I was really excited! I’ve followed Miccostumes on it’s for a while and assumed they were a good shop. So I bought the cosplay, yeah? Wrong size & overpriced. It was 70$ (14$ expressed shipping.) First of all, the quality of the costume is polyester. Not the best quality, but whatever. It’s a cheap alternative, I get it. Second of all, I ordered express shipping...specifically to get it before a con. The website says express items will ship in 3-5 business days. I bought it on the 13th of August, and it didn’t come until the 22nd. Again, whatever, con isn’t until October. I go to try it on, and it’s the wrong size. That’s my fault, I’m a small nonbinary person (4’10) with a heavier build (120 lbs). In short terms, I’m thick. Asian sizes are weird. So, I contacted the company and asked for an exchange. They politely said of course and I send it back between 5 days. They told me an Female XL (one size up) would be in stock on Sept. 5, and they’d ship one as soon as possible. Cool, that’s lit, I should theoretically have a new exchange in the next two weeks, yeah? Since I paid express shipping? Nope. September 12th I don’t hear anything. So I email the company, and got a quick response. “It took 3-5 days to prepare the costume, it will be shipped within 2-3 days due to the weekend.”. Okay, lit. It’s coming really soon. I expected an email soon. I got an email today, Sept 16th, and for some reason it’s being shipped by another company? First it was DHL, a known company. Now, it’s being shipped from Yunexpress, an Asian company. Alright, I don’t see an issue...maybe they changed companies. Theoretically, I should have it in a week, yeah? Like last time? Again, I’m the clown. 12-14 business days, and it will be at my house. 12-14 BUSINESS DAYS IT WILL SHIPPED TO MY HOUSE. I’m sorry?! In my opinion, and maybe I’m just the enby Karen meme, everything they have done was unprofessional as anything. Id expect some sort of urgency to fix something? Especially with someone who paid 14$ extra for shipping? No, send it though a different company and make me wait longer than I had to. Again, my bad for ordering something to small, but I’d expect more from a company with high ratings on their website. I most certainly will buy any future cosplays off of another website. Please, do not buy from Miccostumes, unless you have the time for this.
