I am pretty impressed with the Quarq team and their willingness to carry the ball on problems. I have PowerTap pedals which have been far from trouble free. The most recent issue is after not using them for 8 months the cap on one pedal was frozen and would not come off even using semi destructive means. The Quark team happily took over..... As to PowerTap, I think they have caught a break. The cycling community has fairly low standards for vendors and quite honestly, their reputation was outsized IMHO
