Geek Vape AEGIS 40watt boost pod mod
I am reviewing the Geek Vape AEGIS BOOST 40W Pod Kit. I really hate giving this one 2 stars. The ONLY reason My rating is so low is for main 3 reasons. First the bad. BAD- 1: the filler port seems to be at a bad angle and prematurely over flows. BAD- 2: the filler plug is almost impossible to re-insert if it becomes detached from the juice holder/tank. If the plug isn’t re-installed and seated absolutely perfect ,it causes some sort of Vacuum and hot juice begins to accumulate and comes through the mouthpiece burning your tongue and mouth as well as leaking.(not just a little splatter here or there, it is a lot!!!) BAD- 3: this is the worst part! The charging contacts inside the port are flimsy and loose. It tends to slide back and forth preventing the cord to attached properly. After inserting charging cord about 12-20 times , the male portion of the charging apparatus broke completely off! So now I’m stuck in quarantine w/ no possible way to use my pod and no back up!!! Now the good. GOOD- 1: it is very comfortable to hold and use. GOOD-2: it seems to charge quickly and have lots of extra power if needed. The battery lasts a long time. It also delivers a smooth “pull “ from very low wattage all the way through to its peak wattage. GOOD -3 it gives great flavor and the adjustable air flow is great! GOOD-4 it DOES NOT seem to leak at or around the coil. Every pod I have ever had leaks into the device, leaks into my pocket ect. With the exception of the accumulation in the mouth piece splattering and leaking because of the filler plug issue, there seems to be no other leaking or fluid loss. One neutral comment would be the charging area is inset to allow the water proof plug to seal correctly, thus allowing only a select few charging cords with small heads to fit. I can not comment as to the durability of the unit when it pertains to water resistance or shock resistance. I didn’t have the unit long enough to put it through any daily use and abuse Scenarios. It would seem at first glance this unit I was built sturdy. Which would be perfect for a person like me who can be clumsy and hard on things. I am not sure if I purchased a One off factory reject or if these are some of the common problems. Other than these issues, the pod would be an amazing product. The reason I’m only doing 2 stars is for the simple fact I am totally screwed sitting in quarantine with no way to replace or fix my current unit and no way to get my nicotine!!!!! I purchased it about 2 weeks ago and now I’m wondering if that was such a good idea. I hope this helps and I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!!!
