Very misleading selling of travel insurance
Bought insurance for my son and paid extra for gadget insurance . He forgot to and he was at airport so bought it for him. He lost his AirPods day before he flew back. It was a long weekend break. Claim turned down because insurance was not bought while he was at his primary address. This is in one line of 38 page policy document but no where to be seen when you are buying a policy. These were only AirPods but could you imagine if someone was seriously injured or killed and insurance said that they would not help because was not bought when you were at home. There is no question asking if you are at your primary address when you purchased insurance and since it allows you buy the insurance on the day of travel there must be many similar cases. It allows you buy insurance on day of travel. I would even question whether the insurance was miss sold as my son effectively wasn’t insured. I would be very wary of buying insurance with them. The original insurance was bought through Tesco so have also contacted them but waiting for reply.
