DJI, Drones & Leroy
Looking for a new hobby, I looked at picking up flying drones. Not wanting to jump in deep with an expensive model, I purchased a DJI Neo Fly More Combo. After a couple weeks of use, the signal was lost between my controller and drone, and unfortunately my Neo ended up hitting a wall and landing in a small stream. Regret set in the following days that I didn't purchase Care Refresh. I dried the Neo out and after a few days, it powered on. Unfortunately the app was showing several severe faults with the drone. I considered just picking up a new Neo, but thought I'd try sending it off for repair. I lodged a repair request through the app, boxed up the Neo and sent it off. Within just a few days, I had an email from Leroy at DJI asking if I could send across flight logs from the device. Being a novice, I was clueless. Leroy sent a really helpful step by step guide on how to do this. I sent the data across and got a notification the following day to say the data was accessed by DJI. I received a call from Leroy the following day, as expected, as I awaited a repair invoice. Leroy informed my that the data showed that the accident was no fault. I asked Leroy about repair process and he informed me that due to possible corrosion due to water damage, DJI were going to send me a new replacement device at no charge. A couple of days later, the courier dropped off the device. The service from start to finish was absolutely fantastic from Leroy. I've been telling a lot of people that the service I received from Leroy at DJI was the best I have ever received. I've enjoyed the new hobby so far, and last week stepped up a level by picking up an Avata 2 Fly More Combo. A couple of days after receiving the new Neo, I had a random call from a Frankfurt telephone number. It was DJI customer service giving a courtesy call to check I have received the new Neo and all was okay. Genuinely fantastic service all round from DJI.
