JJ's House

Three bridesmaid dresses and one major headache

I ordered three bridesmaid dresses back in the summer, towards end of June and I had not read any reviews. After I placed my order I was panicking big time as other customers had had such a negative experience. The dresses were made to order and arrived in around two weeks which was fine and what I was expecting. I was very pleased with the initial order, the dresses are a gorgeous colour and were good quality, well made. Sadly one of the dresses was too small for my maid of honour, and unfortunately this is where the trouble started. I had to return the size 8 for a size 10, I did have to cover another £25 shipping which is rather steep but it wasn't JJSHOUSE fault that the first dress didn't fit, the dress arrived very quickly which made me a bit suspicious as I thought all dresses were made to order. It literally came two or three days later from Hong Kong, the quality of this dress was not good. The colour was all wrong, there was a weird red net behind the top part of the dress where the lace bodice was when it should have been clear, the dress is a cabernet colour (the colour of the dresses may I add do not match the colour of the photos on the website even if they are a nice colour) plus the sleeves were torn and unfinished. If you need to return a damaged dress which is the company's fault they make it extremely difficult to be refunded and promise things then they change their mind. I didn't even want a refund but another dress that wasn't damaged. They were asking me to cover shipping AGAIN which would have now cost £75 in total which is basically nearly the cost of another dress. I managed to keep requesting the shipping money back plus I opened up a dispute with PayPal and I managed to get my shipping fees back quite quickly. PayPal are great use them. This shipping was for the cost of the third order I had to make because of the damaged item. The company would agree to covering the cost of the delivery then they would change their mind and say two minutes later they wouldn't cover it. They are not an honest reputable company at all. They do not care about their customers. They should advertise they do not offer refunds at all and all products are non returnable so you order at your own risk and make sure the size is right as that will cause you so much stress!!! The third dress that turned up, again arrived very quickly and again was damaged, the colour is right but the sleeves are still torn. This is beyond frustrating now to no end because these dresses were not cheap at £109 each. I think I can make it work for my wedding day, as I have to, this dress has been the most stressful part of my wedding planning. I did manage to get a partial refund on the dress so I received £48 back thankfully which I did appreciate but obviously that does really only cover the shipping costs. JJSHOUSE use a UK Web address but they are not based here probably for some tax avoidance loophole so really be careful, check sizes thoroughly if you decide to order and don't expect the returns process to be easy if you need to send the items back. There are so many dishonest things about this company, in what they say and what / how they advertise so be aware, one positive note is they do have some nice products and if you wear them down with a lot of back and forth service tickets on your account they may eventually agree to a partial refund. There is no customer service telephone number or real returns department either.
