laptopbattery was a scam company. Just like one of the reviewer Ben, I faced similar situation. Purchased an ASUS 6 cell laptop battery. Took them more than 3 weeks to deliver due to MCO. This is acceptable. When battery arrived, it is working as intended on first day. But nightmare started on second day. When it is used till 40% it will further immediately further discharge itself up to 7%. I have communicated with 2 different person from them thru their email, one Michelle Zhang, another person named Crystal all with more than 3 to 4 days only will respond to my email. Each email response will be scripted with the same answer as below : ======================================= This battery was tested to be functional by technicians before shipping out. The error can be due to various reasons. The first thing you should do is check to make sure it is seated properly in the charger. If so, remove it and inspect the contact points for dirt and debris. If it looks like it needs cleaning, brush it lightly with a soft cloth and set the battery back on the charger. Then check if you correctly and tightly installed battery interface. Then follow these instructions to try it one more time: ====================================================================================================== 1.Power off the system. 2.Disconnect any external peripherals (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) from the computer. 3.Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the battery from it. 4.Press and hold the power button for 20 to 30 seconds to release the residual charge from the laptop. 5.Reconnect the battery and the AC Adapter. 6.New battery pack is normally shipped in its partially charged condition. Please cycle your battery pack by fully charge (more than 12 hours) and discharge it to 5%-10% for 3~5 times to reach its maximum rated capacity before use.
