Snaptain SP500.. Outstanding First Drone
This is my first drone and I researched many different drones extensively. I found this to be the best at this price point. It has a lot of nice features including defining an exact flying route on a map using waypoints, follow-me, return-to-home, 1080P video, and setting a point of interest that it flies around in a defined radius, to name a few. It uses GPS tracking and has a very nice well-designed app to control with your cell phone. It is easy to use for beginners but also has some advanced features that you can grow into as you gain experience. It is compact and light and has decent flight time on a single charge. The drone comes complete with an extra battery, four extra propellers and propeller guards and USB chargers for each battery and remote control (three total). It is nice that they include an extra battery so you can fly longer without having to wait for recharging. Everything is well packaged in a box with adequate protection. I cannot say enough about the communication and customer service offered by Snaptain. They always responded to my inquiries and replaced a defective battery. Communication was outstanding and the representative was very friendly, courteous and helpful. I would definitely buy from them again. I have always believed that you get what you pay for to some extent, but I always look for a good value (i.e. best bang for the buck). This drone is not perfect and if price is no object, you could probably get one that performs better in windy conditions, has better range and flight time. However, this drone offers great value and outstanding performance and features for the price. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are first starting out.
