First purchase didn't go well. Second was better.
The first nylon cable I purchased from Syncwire was good for about three months before it started to develop some kind of "tumour" just below the neck of the USB part. It looked like the wires were trying to pop through the nylon protective covering, which would mean the plastic inside the nylon protector split in just three months. And then the bit of plastic that was covering the USB plug in came loose and fell off, which might be a bit of a hazard (the glue looked cheaper than chips). Didn't last as long as they claim the cable lasts, but still one month longer than any official Apple cable I've owned (haha). The second purchase from Syncwire was a different nylon cable (the first one above was no longer in stock). Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and write off my previous experience as a one-time manufacturing error. This second purchase has been the better one so far. It has lasted me upwards of five months so far and is showing no signs of any of the previous damage noted with my first purchase. Would recommend Syncwire over Apple's standard wires.
