DJI

Do not buy the Power 1000 as a UPS

I am a long time user of many DJI products and am a huge fan. When I was looking for a UPS for my home office, I was delighted to see that DJI had a solution. I bought it. Within 2 weeks it failed. I sent it back for repair. It got lost on the way back to me. They eventually, after weeks, sent me a replacement which did exactly the same thing. I asked for a refund as the design was clearly not fit for purpose and they refused and insisted I return it for them to see calling me a liar. They have fixed it again and it is allegedly on the way back to me. I don't really see the point of a UPS that has spent 8 weeks plus not being there to be uninterruptible. Being constantly asked to send it back for repair is like being asked to send back a faulty fire alarm that didn't work when there was a fire which burned down your house for repair. Update - You will see the reply below which is great customer service and very polite and correct but like all communications it does not tackle the main issue. What is the point of an uninterruptible power supply that is off for repair when the power goes off? Update 6th November. Nothing has arrived. I have emailed asking for an update and not received a reply. I just want to get rid of this unit and all the hassle that goes with it. Update 7th November. Groundhog day. I am only editing here as I seem to get a response from DJI occasionally. Update 9th November. I don’t understand why I have had two that don’t work if they have undergone rigorous inspection before shipping. It sounds like I have no option but to try a third unit. Update 14th November. The device has arrived and I have installed it. I have tested it twice and it worked. I now have to wait. Both previous devices failed between two and six weeks after installation. My confidence level is not high but I will be open minded.
