Jetpac Travel eSIM

"Unlimited" = 3GB/day of speed data

18 June 2026 Update: Following my complaint, Jetpac processed a partial refund and offered a complimentary 2GB pack. I appreciate the gesture. Jetpac has assured me they will improve transparency for future travelers. I hope they follow through. Wasted a day of holidays, still disappointed. Won't be using it again. Read the fine print before buying. ///////////////////////////// Formal Complaint – Misleading "Unlimited" Advertising – APAC Unlimited 3-Day Plan – Transaction ID: 1184429301181939714 Dear Jetpac Customer Service Team, Transaction ID: 1184429301181939714 Date: 15 June 2026 I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the "APAC Unlimited 3-Day" roaming plan I purchased for my family holiday in China. The Issue: Upon using the service, I discovered that the "unlimited data" advertised is in fact limited to 3GB of high-speed data per day, after which speeds are throttled to a near-unusable level. At this reduced speed, I am unable to perform essential travel tasks such as: · Loading GPS maps for navigation · Using translation applications · Accessing ride-hailing services like Didi · Staying connected with family via messaging apps This defeats the entire purpose of purchasing a roaming plan labeled "Unlimited." My Concern Regarding Transparency: I would appreciate if Jetpac could clarify where the Fair Usage Policy and any speed limitations for the APAC Unlimited 3-Day plan were displayed prior to purchase. I was unable to locate this information clearly before buying the plan and would like greater transparency for customers when purchasing "Unlimited" data products. While I acknowledge that such policies may exist somewhere in the product details, burying a critical limitation in fine print does not make the primary marketing claim of "unlimited" honest or transparent. A reasonable customer interpreting "unlimited data" would expect sufficient high-speed data to last a full day of regular travel usage—not a 3GB cap that is exhausted within hours. My Request: 1. I understand there's a reset time, however, for a family traveling across time zones and using data heavily during daytime hours, this reset time is impractical. By the time full speed returns, our day is effectively over. How does this reset time works? 2. A clear explanation of where and how the 3GB daily limitation was displayed to me prior to purchase. 3. That Jetpac reviews its advertising to prominently state the actual high-speed cap moving forward. Conclusion: This experience has been deeply disappointing and has negatively impacted my family's travel experience. This is the first and last time I will use Jetpac. I will also be sharing my honest feedback on public platforms to ensure other traveling families are aware of the true limitations of your "Unlimited" plans.
