Communication is critical
As a soldier communication is critical and in my personal life I needed a device that would take extremes. I've owned several supposedly tough phones from other manufacturers and either they fail to perform as a communication device, break when hit with some moderate abuse or both. I bought my Armor 12 when it first came out and it's still ticking. I even ran over it with my tractor and buried it in some nasty soupy soil I was excavating at home. Still works and for the abuse actually looks pretty good. My carrier constantly trying to get me on a 2-3 hook to buy an inferior flagship phone when you can get all the tech with more durability and functionality for less without a long term carrier commitment.
